To be fair companies make bad decisions all the time. Just because they think something is the case doesnt mean it necessarily is. Idk I just have a hard time believing that spamming different versions of the game every time the hype from the last version dies down is really going to get them more subs than just making a good game that people stay subbed to. I didn’t read the whole convo yet but they need to do a marketing campaign for retail - specifically for classes players. I’m super active in a bunch of the classic discords and people just truly don’t understand that retail is pretty enjoyable. I think different things like artifact weapons or button bloat etc bothered people and it’s just stuck in their head that the game isn’t good. I’ve convinced a few people to try it and they’ve all said they like it, but 95% of them will never do it. They’ll play 70-80 over and over again forever

Like, if Blizz chopped down the game to 3-4 versions - I’m sure some of those people would funnel to retail. But why would Blizz do that if it results in less subs

It does look as if when making pve changes they also consider pvp too (for maybe 3 seconds)

You have racials dispels, class dispels with 20 sec cd, you can dodge or even parry the application of it, long cooldown with no reduction and it also locks you on one target and its also outhealed by hybrids like druids with frenzy regen.

In world PvP, there’s no unrestricted way to retrieve CC information, so the addon detects CCs through the SPELL_CAST_SUCCEEDED event when a CC is cast, then starts a timer based on a hardcoded CC duration plus 16 seconds. Superior battle potion + 37 agility for 25 seconds. Flask of tempered Mastery (or any stat & any crafting lvl) + 21 mastery for 1 hr. Living steel belt buckle, adds extra socket to belt if under 120 ilvl. Any dragonflight wpn enchant like Earthen Writ, chance for +92 mastery.
