Hello everyone, after a couple of months of playing for the class, I'm starting to customise the interface to suit myself, and there are a couple of things I can't figure out. I hope someone can help! How can I make it so that combo points are always above the current target? So to speak, attached to the target? My second question is about the skill bar. When I'm invisible, it changes and then reverts back with a delay. Is there a way to make this more convenient? Personally, I've just placed the skills on both bars in the same way so as not to get confused with the buttons. Is there a better solution? Thanks in advance for your advice.

There's an option to enable the personal resource bar to display combo points on the target frame instead. Stealth bar shouldn't be delayed that much to cause issues. Do you have a short video regarding the bar lag?

thats how you should set up your stealth bar yes, just all of the same spells. you only replace your main single target generator with it's stealth version

mutilate->ambush
backstab->shadowstrike
etc

there is a small delay, but depending on spec this shouldn't matter much at all

it may only cause issues for sub depending on how much haste you're using, because it can cause you to clip a GCD which will mean 1 less global during Dance

Its really hard to test anything without details ... their damage meter reports things oddly, and so does the combat log.

I have been manually reading the combat log in game and trying to bin the numbers - but clearly they dont report nearly everything. I don't quite understand how secret technique hits 2-8 times ... but thats what the log reports.

That being said, I did the test a couple times as follows:
Start with full Shadow technique points, coup de grace and ST ready. Then press:

/castsequence reset=10 shadow dance, null
/castsequence reset=10 cheap shot, coup de grace, shadowstrike, secret technique, cheap shot, eviscerate

And secret technique hits about the same as coup de grace according to the combat log. However, blizzards damage meter looks like this:

I'm not sure why secret technique is reported twice. I don't understand how normal coup de grace is weaker than the other eviscerate. Sometimes in the combat log, coup de grace gets reported as Eviscerate. But either way, ST does indeed do significantly more damage than coup de grace. How much more, we might never know ...

It both procs flawless form and also allows you to build the next coup faster. Most of your unseen blade procs come from sec tec. So if you are at 4 stacks and go

SS -> ST -> SS (unseen blade guaranteed) -> CDG

Not an “always” coup before tech if you have coup like using a macro would suggest

There are 4 ways to proc flawless form:

1. Unseen strike by backstab/SS on a 15s CD
2. Coup de grace for max stack
3. Secret technique -> backstab/SS
4. Random auto attack proc every approximately 13s/feint into AOE -> backstab/SS

Since flawless form lasts 12 seconds it feels like maintaining it should be doable - but it seem likely that both 1., 2. and 3. will be done in the shadow dance window. I guess if coup de grace doesn't do much more damage than evis, you can either:

• Send CDG in between gos,
• Auto attack something constantly, or
• Use feint to fish for unseen blade procs in between gos.

A single unseen blade proc deals more damage than 4 backstabs, so it might be quite decent if you can proc it reliably with feint.

Pay some data analyst 60 dollar on hour for 5 hours each week and you have 60 dollar x 5 hours x 20 weeks = 6k dollars for WEEKLY tunings.

I wish there was a way to actually communicate info to blizz and I have them listen. I queud for like 2+ hours last night and played a total of 5 games. 2 normal games, 1 3-3 because of a giga healer diff, and 2 games that ended early because of dc. Now even if the dcs were fixed and you remove those - the full games would've eaten up more times, which means I wouldve played 3-4 shuffles in 2.5 hours. That's not only not fun, but a really slow rate of learning for anyone trying to get better.

Imagine there's an allowlisted list of important kickable spells, and important offense cds. A super basic napkin math here -

1500 - healer bots juke 0% of the time, kick 20% of the time, react with defensive 50% of the time.
1800 - juke 20 %, kick 30%, defensive 70%
2100 - juke 40%, kick 50%, defensive 90%.
2100 > NO MORE BOTS

Now each of those would still be subject to some randomness - meaning that the kicks would be delayed or miss (no aimbot style giga insta kick).

This would legit mean instant queues for dps - the amount of reps you'd get would be insane, and imo the bots would be almost indistinguishable up until this rating. If anything - they'd be less frustrated because you would never have a healer 6-0.

The real healers would only play eachother, but they would earn rewards faster, and tokens to reduce dps time or something. Add some more cool cosmetic rewards for them as well.

Finally, make it so there's one pve piece that requires conquest points (obtainable after a few weeks, and 1 more gated behind some rating.

I know everyone has their own opinion and this is just mine, but the pvp scene has been stagnant for awhile and is really not welcoming to newcomers. (even as someone who has played at a high level in other xpacs, I always procrastinated coming to retail because of the sheer amount of things to learn). I firmly believe these changes would be a huge boon to arena.

Like I said, make it so obtaining through pve was an option not a requirement.

The goal here isn't to turn everyone into arena players, but draw in a small percentage from here and there.

I can say 1000% if solo queues were insta I would've gotten back into arena years ago. Imo there's just no reason not to have some healer bots + healer rewards

Who does it negatively impact? The players < 2100 just want to play -> improve -> rank up. The players over 2100 don't have to worry about it at all. Healer rewards will increase healers, but also dps learning to play better will make healing suck less.

We'd be talking legit instant queues...... that would feel incredible
