The most fun i had playing outlaw since BFA was Df S4 and All throughout The War Within, I dont even remember any memorable moments in shadowlands and ive played through it,

It's more like class/spec identity. As Assassin rogue I expected to apply bleeds to multiple targets and land kills with kingsbane assisted burst (last season) when I also used my 2 x Vanish to stun & silence healer/dps. Plus, good use of vanish to apply strong garrotes on multiple targets was rewarded.

The way I see it now, there's less incentive to bleed multiple targets - even suggested build lacks Crimson tempest!

But my ability to influence the battle with CC & silence is very low, if i silence only on combat start and once every 2 minutes.
Can I peel? hardly, just gouge mainly

i understand you completely because i feel the same way about outlaw and the current state is just wtf is this? No more controlling battles. Last Season was good for many classes but blizzard just axed them.
They pretty much forced you to learn a new playstyle with these botched talents which makes it almost like relearning your class/spec, & what makes it difficult at times is because of muscle memory.
Blizzard had a good thing going with alot of specs dont know why they would do drastic changes after the changed they put us through during The War Within.

Still, from a veery brief test i did, it felt as if Kidney was tooo short for assa especially since your dmg comes from envenoms so you have to generate cp -> envenom and again same deal with does not fit into the kidney duration (the 2nd envenom)

Plus, on subtlety with a non haste build i think i did more dmg in a kidney (plus maybe a cheapshot that comes with the build)

and yes on sub you can only do dmg during dance, but that's every 20s and assa has kingsbane every 1min

You still needed dance to kill anything. The only solution since the rework was to increase the uptime on dance and thats what they did

Oh i know they can make it work with strong evenoms, you can stack a ton of modifiers to make a strong set of 2 envenoms.
Like right now you can kingsbane, envenom, generate points and evenom again - but implacable apex final talent kinda solves that and you could envenom - kingsbane - envenom maybe? which makes the whole burst less spread over time and harder to react to.

Still, i wish that tuning actually makes an 1min burst more impactful that sub's 30s window

There was a rather funny stream with absterge and venruki, and ven explained "they have this stacking buff and they do 0 dmg, absolutely 0, until they reach 35 stacks. Then they can oneshot you so just look and press defensives in time". First time it worked, they were laughing "zero dmg spec".
Second time Absterge died in 2 seconds, Ven was like "come on man, it's easy, 35 stacks press defensives". Then Ven died. then he died again.
Then it stopped being funny for them 😄

trynna get my dam up a bit on outlaw, two questions:

1. I saw in a recent pve guide that Blade Rush should be used on CD, is that true for pvp as well? like is there a buff it gives or is it kinda just good for mobility/aoe situations? seems like its base dam is high but it doesn't have talent benefits I can see like your spenders do
2. there's been times where I'm on a dummy and BTE just keeps re-proc'ing, what's going on with that? (dw bout that part I figured out it was ace) I've been rebuilding combo points before using but it stops lighting up after like 2 gcd - should I just be spamming that if it happens?

When this happens I usually get in my truck and patrol the area for cars that went off the road and left people stranded. I did that for just an hour and a half today and I pulled 4 people. Has anyone tried full haste sub? The more I think about it, the more it could be pretty legit. A lot more of our damage comes from shadowstrike now, and depending on how much duration the haste talent gives us on dance, it could allow you another one or two finishers rotations during dance, along with a lowered CD on secret tech.
