Okay totally separate line of questioning: is there a point to killing other players in warmode? because I've gotten a few kills by finishing people off at the end of fights with others, or by diving the same guy multiple times when he couldn't be bothered to heal between my respawns, and I've never gotten more than like 5 tokens and 20ish honor per kill. Which seems like a COLOSSAL mismatch of effort to outcome. And yet I have not seen a single alliance player in warmode that was content to mind their own business, do their objectives and leave (which seems to be what most horde warmode players do)

I'd say this latest shuffle went a lot better than my previous ones, even though I only won 1 round

I stayed alive and seemed to be doing well keeping my teammates alive with careful use of cc, but...

I just didn't feel like I was doing enough damage to meaningfully pressure the enemy healer

Almost pulled off a kill setup a couple times, made the healer sit in a full kidney then smoke bombed the kill target, but that still wasn't enough

Feels really hard to make proper use of blind and gouge as sin, it seems like I'm breaking them by accident while hitting somebody else

Mobility and control are generally grouped on the LT modifier bar, interrupt is always LT-X, major mobility buttons are always LT-A and LT-B, etc

this is also true!! works out well if you have some rebounding orbs when the initial carriers die, i usually down people when temple pops but if i gotta grab orbs I'll take, usually grab at first and hold as long as i can (outlaw) then just start cc/locking everyone down.
thats crazy tho, everytime i had healers grabbin orbs our team just got nuked 😭 but no one else was picking orbs so healers didnt have a choice if they wanted to win :/

If you have anyone you can play with I would recommend doing 3s and getting feedback from them on what kind of things they may need. Granted solo shuffle is as uncoordinated as rbgs but it can still help

If solo shuffle is anything like other solo queue games I've played, one of the most important skills for climbing will be the ability to predict what the other players will do - both the enemies and your teammates - and react accordingly.

Very often what would be the right strategy in a group environment will be suicidal in solo queue, and vice versa, a seemingly stupid move might work if properly supported

Even without friendly fire your team can kill you at least as surely as the enemy can, even if it's not on purpose

God help you if it is on purpose

Then there's likely nothing you can do but keep going next and be happy that the randomness of matchmaking will eventually even things out

I'd like to see something different to what we've currently got. Iterate on the Plunderstorm format in some way perhaps - lean more into the PvEvP but not Battle Royale

The thing I like about Plunderstorm was the speed you could queue and play.

Give rbgs the blitz format. Change how eots works, add a mount to solo Q. Add old elite sets as a reward you can work toward. Cosmetic reward to spells on landing kicks / using defensives to absorb x amount of dmg.

If you “wall” some millions of dmg, you get a cool flame effect on your character you can toggle when you pop the defensive

I find myself thinking back to call of duty, and how it had like a million treadmills running at once which incentivized changing up the way you played to unlock new gadgets and cosmetics

I'd always be changing my loadout to use different guns, perks and whatever else to complete more challenges

It'd be neat if wow pvp had some form of challenge system with incentives to play different ways or practice skills you might not have mastered yet

Elite sets should be a participation goal like the seasonal mount. Easier to get.

Gearing should be even easier, maybe just one pvp set. No conq set, just have a conq weapon or something.

Rewards should have glad mount recolors for shuffle and blitz.

IDEALLY, custom elite sets like WoD season 1.
