It’s good probably not the greatest class for blitz. But it moves round fast. Smoke bomb helps for flag capping and killing EFCs. It’s good to grab flags and hand them off to healers n such too

You didn’t defend or were unable to defend with no trinket. There likely was no feint up and rogue v rogue is always explosive as we do not have a lot of natural defense (low armor). It is through active mitigation and outplaying that we live / survive other’s assaults

It fails on ramps , uneven terrain or near objects above ground. If the animation goes through the ground or another object, it's going to fail

That's my point about uneven terrain. Depending on character height or jump cast, it'll land the hook. Then the retraction fails to pull because it goes through the object

And I’ve always typically played it in the open world for hook and blade rush etc

When leveling, doing WQs, campaign, etc

When farming wpvp stuff I play all 3 about the same amount, like I do for arena

Grapple hook breaks because the game calculates on an A to B based on the terrain. If it calculates a “bad spot” it breaks to prevent falling through crap / exploiting.

Supposedly the chance to fail depends a bit on the race you're playing. Certain character models are more likely to clip into the ground during the cast, which causes the bug. Jumping also makes it less likely to happen. Pretty sure I've been conditioned since late SL to jump with every hook cast for this reason.

I play KT male because they look cool lmao. But yeah I've gotten a few good haymaker knocks in RBGs/blitz before. Some bases can be stolen easily with it too, like LM in arathi. Fun in wpvp as well. The classic stealth sap -> haymaker off a cliff on some poor guy never gets old.

i used to be like this , i think mainly outlaw /combat has been least chosen is prolly why i stuck to it, my first 1800 was sub rogue and i think it was fotm during early cata, MOP mained Sin mostly, ithink it was late Cata when we got the legeo daggers swapped full time combat, missed most of legion tho been playin that spec specifically ever since end of legion/ pre BFA
