that verse is a bit low for outlaw imo.
law not big burst damage. usually lower than the rest of dps unless you're not the focus target and can just pump. Cleaving with law in 3s is good idea if you dnt flurry often but know when to cancel aura to avoid breaking cc etc.
def try to record your gameplay and post here to get 2nd opinions on what to do and not to do in certain situations

ok, my interface tells me different things in different areas... those stats were in Dornogal, in a PvP Area my stats are apparently 31% crit, 17% haste, 22% Mastery and 23% vers. The only gear where I don't have vers on are the setpieces (crafted chest)

but its rotation during the burst window is definitely a lot faster/more complicated than assa's

defensively sub is easier than assa imo since you dont need to be in the fight all the time so you can play a lot more safe/run more easily

Outlaws sustained pressure with a lot of cc, mobility, and survivability. If you have momentum, you get CDR on everything and can cc a lot more than assa. It can be hard to win if your teammate isnt pumping while you peel for them. It’s typically better in 3s over shuffle. Deathstalker is much better than FB in basically every way except it being the simple RNG of FB. You can kill someone with a darkest knight, symbolic victory envenom (crits around 1.2 to about 2 mil). It takes practice managing your marks but outside of that, Assa is easy rotationally bc you just apply bleeds and poisons.

Assa lacks finishing power since sudden demise can be buggy. So playing DS is the only way we can win games outside of rotting everyone in dampening

Guys, this is going to be long but i need advise.

I started to play to a month ago and i really enjoyed the game. I choose a rouge just because all other mmo i have played i allways take assasins and try to ennjoy and kill as many people as possible.

After a month here now, i have BIS pvp gear and with help of hekili im doing ok in arena (1600).

Thing is im not enjoying gameplay of rouge here and it feels kind a off anyways. I love aspect to be stelth and nuke with dps and all that, but somethings is really off.

To continue to play and enjoy the game i need to pick a class (main) that i like to play and enjoy. Only thing i really care about is pvp and to look as cool as possible. I dont rly give a fuck about raids and stuff but if i need farm raids for transmog or something. No problem.

I was thinking maybe druid looks like something for me. I see that fredal druids still can be stelth, and dmg now is insane as i look at scoreboards. Other thing is if one get bored i can allways take balanced and suddenly im caster class.

One of ofther strong points is that i can never play more than one charecter at the same time because in my head im wasting potential on main if i use time on als.

As i understand now feral druis are like really meta pick. But im new to Wow and dont know how they deal with buffs and nerfs. Lets say i take druid and play for a year. lets say they nerf druid. Is it still playable pvp vise with a big nerf or do people just changes characters and thats why everyone got like 20 alts? And is druid a good choice?

Druid is traditionally a good choice because it has 4 different specs. Feral and Boomkin have a high skill ceiling because if you don’t pre Bear stuns or damage, you can die easily. The best advice that you probably don’t want to hear is to try different classes. If you’re new to the game, it will be a pain to lvl alts. Perhaps you could play beta or something if that’s still available. Or you could watch streamers or clips of how they play. If you want to focus on dps, the pure dps classes are a safe bet because yes, blizzard will nerf the spec at some point. Some specs get nerfed more often but at the end of the day, if you’re skilled on your class, you’ll still be successful as opposed to refilling to whatever the flavor of the month is. Feral was even stronger at the beginning of the season but did get nerfed. It’s still probably better than assa rogue, but they have different utility

Druid has always been decent due to the power of cyclone - it’s the best CC in the game

And by pure DPS I mean like Hunter, Mage, Rogue, Warlock

Even if other aspects get nerfed, having a spammable CC that has insane range and makes targets immune is just unrivaled

But druids WILL always have points in an xpac where they are bad and other points where they are good

The only classes that will ALWAYS be good at one point in an xpac is mage/lock/rogue/war

historically, they always have one good spec

Like Jeb said, pure DPS classes are the best choice

Cause Blizz will make sure one of the specs are good

And if no specs are good for that class, they’ve been doing quite a few reworks recently in major content patches

If you enjoy the game just stick with it. You have a ton of room to grow. I started this game last season and am not much of a gamer. I’m now above 2250cr in shuffle which is probably in the top 90 percentile of pvpers if I had to guess. Make friends with people who are knowledgeable, watch your gameplay to see mistakes, watch streamers, YouTube, skillcapped vids. Learn your rotation and how your spec plays and how to play with other specs. There’s a million situational things that you’ll just learn by trial and error over time like who and when to cc, kill, swap to, etc. this game has an extremely high barrier to entry but like I said if you enjoy it stick with it. It’s super rewarding to win. Right now the rating system sucks but hopefully they fix it. If you want to get transmogs, that’s perfect to do in between the long ass queue times. Go to the horseshoe tab on your menu bar thing. And go to appearances. You can find every transmog in the game and find what you like. PvP ones are easy to get because you get Medals of honor for just participating in PvP. The PvE ones can be a pain in the ass so just look at the drop rates or a Reddit to see how people got them

Also rogue and feral are the hardest dps classes so feeling like something’s not right is correct bc you’re probably doing a lot wrong. If you decide on rogue, this is a fantastic channel to join. For rogue, Pikaboo, whaazz, Kalvish are all great streamers. @jaunty osprey here also has a Twitch and is a top rogue :). For feral, snupy is a great streamer who is helpful

And yeah, i understand that to pick the right class normaly i shoud try to play all the classes. But this meta thing is allways in the back of my head. How bad are those buffs and nerfs? I mean this Blizz allready used 20 years to make it blanaced, i understand that this is not really possible but how big are those jumps? Are all classes playable in every xpac?

tbh if you want a class that in the long term is going to be strong and in meta more often than not, the answer is rogue

but if you arent enjoying it then you should definitely try something else

Just play a class you like they will always nerf and buff the classes over the course of xpac.

some specs are more affected by this than others

if a spec's value is primarily around damage then it will likely get hit more by nerfs

classes like rogue are strong even when they do poor damage because they have so much utility and control

I would suggest leveling all the classes up a bit play all the classes you don’t have to play every spec but play every class during Panda remix i leveled up every class to 70 and i got to see what the other classes rotation were like and what its like to be on the other end of the stick. I think that’s major cause rogue has such a high skill cap until you can literally play the class and virtually do two things at once at all times ( stun & dps ) you won’t really have fun or feel meta

You could be a healer at heart as well and not even know it, I’d say play all the classes i promise you’ll find one you like

Exactly what I’m saying , like i found out that i really liked mage and i had struggled to duel them until i leveled a mage now i know the spell book so i know what is going on on that side

I never knew how warriors were getting health back during the fight while doing damage until i leveled one all things that i learned through playing the class

I’d recommend Hunter personally @Auri if you haven’t tried it already i wish MM was still in the spot it was before the nerf . But give BM a try maybe, Marksmanship Hunter is fun to play with true shot, rapid fire and aimed shot but BM is doing more damage right now from a “ meta “ standpoint

Ret paladin and genereally woriors, just feels and looks to chunky for me. I was looking at DH, looks really cool but somethings off there too 😄 Im bit between Warlock, Hunter or Druids. You could change the race if you mean like the size of them. You could be a blood elf pally. Although race is almost mandatory for some classes. Like meld is 100% necessary for rogues since it has interactions with our stealth abilities

All those classes get trained so be ready to learn how to position well. Hunter not as much. people think they can’t stop their damage bc their pets do damage so they usually go the other dps. But as a warlock and Druid, you’re going to have a bullseye on your back which might make it harder to learn. Ppl will tell you to play 2s with a healer as it’s very slow paced so you can learn your kit

All 3 of those have very strong specs at the moment in Affliction, Beast Mastery, and Feral. Hunter would be a safe choice since BM is known as one of the easiest specs to do damage on

Yeah Druid is super fun you can also do professions and transmog runs very well as Druid bc of flight form and cat form makes things super easy

BM is so overtuned that you can do very well even at high end. I wouldn’t worry too much about skill ceiling since youre new. You have to practice the fundamentals before you can be a rank 1 😃

Also another thing @smoky stone is you’re part of a small community within a large one. PvP is not nearly as popular as PvE. So balancing is done around what brings in all the money. They still try to balance everything but it’s not as easy as it sounds. There’s so many game modes, abilities, hero talents, etc. it’s very hard to make everything equal. Again, if you get rly good at whatever spec, you’ll have success. It’ll take time tho

People abuse the OP stuff then it gets nerfed then they buff and nerf other stuff. It’s an endless cycle

Yeah i have played multiple mmos before wow and i understand these nerf cycles. Problem is that how hard are those cycles. As long i can play the game and be usefull at pvp (as long i know my class100%) with these nerf and i dont need to make a character because lets say next season they nerf feral and buff shamans, and suddenly it does not matter that i spend 1000 hours on druid to learn it, because of the idiotic stat changes. That what i mean, like the overview over classes its like druid seems like the most fun of all. You can change between feral and balanced and all that. Transmog for every single form + gear. u got stealth and all. i mean it hits all. Problem is that most peole are saying same thing as you guys. That Worriors, mages, rouge and locks are safest because one of specs will always be good. Druid got only 1 spec for each "class" and there are two of them for me, balanced and feral. Ill never tank og heal because its just not me. So lets say next update they fucks up feral. can i still play the game and not blame meta every time i que to arena

They’re kind of the exception and not the rule, but season after season, this enhance shaman named BigDam has like 15 rank 1 shamans lmaoooo. Bicmex is a one trick with surv hunter and is top of the leaderboards. The point I’m trying to make is if you enjoy the class, you’ll make it work. There’s very few clssses that you can’t make it work on and ppl still find a way

Just bc something is meta doesn’t mean you’ll do well at it. You may be a shitty fill in the blank. I’ve tried almost all the classes, and rogue is by far my favorite. I enjoy every aspect of it, the cc, stealth, different playstyles, etc. but some ppl hate playing rogue bc you can’t just do damage. You HAVE to weave cc between your damage bc your burst isn’t insane outside of subtlety rogue during Shadow Blades which ccs while you burst lol. So if that playstyle doesn’t appeal to you, then rogues probably not for you.

And another thing is a spec may not be as good in a certain game mode for whatever reason. Right now subtlety rogue has a rough time in shuffle bc you rely on teammates not messing up stun DRs and understanding your goes. But in Battleground Blitz, sub is great! So all of our advice also depends on what game mode(s) you wanna focus on. Boomie is insane in BGs. You top dam, can cc enemy healers, and are extremely mobile. In arena, you need a good healer or you’ll be stuck in bear form half the game bc boomie is one of the most targeted specs in the game bc it has cyclone and good damage

What felt off about rogue? One thing we haven’t spoken about is like your rotation, UI (addons), keybinds, and all that stuff. Small changes can make a huge quality of life change

I have read about most of addons like weak auras, big debuffs, details! , omnibar, sArena, for rotation i just go really good at looking at 2 places at the same time to i just foollowed what showed on there 😄 Biggest think i gues is that i took rouge to do tons of dmg and come from nowhere, but with my sub rouge this run arround cc and do dmg little by little its not what i like i guess

Yeah sun rogue does bad damage outside of shadow blades. You are likely doing the rotation wrong as well bc it’s very particular. And also when you burst is important. If you want something you do a lot of damage with, assassination rogue is great right now. You just put up bleeds on everyone and rot everyone down. Outlaw is a really fun spec too

You have the most mobility in the game. It’s kind of hard but super fun. But assa is more beginner friendly

People say feral Druid is a better version of assa rogue right now bc feral has cyclone and stronger bleeds. They have different utility. So like mewo said, try assa and feral and see which of those you like. It’s not very hard to gear 2 characters. This channel can guide you thru that. Websites like checkpvp and Murlok.io are good to see what the top players are playing gear and talent wise

Check the pins for some builds. The main difference is taking tea or supercharger on left rogue tree. And on right side people take Doomblade and serrated bone spike for a more bleed based build or kingsbane with master assassin for more burst. I personally like the kingsbane build with supercharger and in the Deathstalker tree (middle talent tree), symbolic victory pairs nicely with Deathstalker because your darkest night envenom (see bottom of that tree) will hit like 15% higher if memory serves

Just keep up garrote, rupture, and crimson tempest if you have other bleeds up. Fan of knives with 2+ people. Don’t gap your empowered garrotes from stealth during the subterfuge window (you have 12 seconds from stealth to apply empowered garrotes). Like what I mean is don’t garrote someone during subterfuge then re garrote them after subterfuge until that empowered garrote is running out.

I’ve never used it but googled heikeli. Relying on something to tell you what to press is likely not a good practice especially while you’re learning. Bc you won’t know why you’re pressing it. I’m sure with pve it’s probably acceptable. But with pvp, I doubt you’ll have the reaction time to take positioning and casted spells (like which ones to interrupts) and situational stuff into account to use that addon.
