Diminish (updated by Jaesa) is what I use to track all DRs since I too want it on nameplates. A big win with diminish is that it tracks DRs on yourself and party members as well. Might be overkill but tracking stun DR on yourself as a Rogue is really nice imo.

Supercharger is giga goated

The differences matter at the very start
Vs Paladin, Vanish is not to refresh Subterfuge, it's to wait out their defensives or reset (might have to burn cloak since they're very likely Heralds of the Sun)

Vs Mage, Keep track of their blinks, count to 3. When you see Alter Time, just sit in stealth and wait it out and subtract -2 to Blink counter. Giga pop em outside of Ice Block. The biggest thing is trading mobility CDs efficiently.

Vs Warlock, Don't let them have a succubus out or your just 100% screwed. Good luck after that.

Vs Warrior, Trade CC for CC. Cheap Shot for a Stormbolt, Disarm for Disarm. Shiv is optional here if you want to deadzone them to get back into stealth. Don't sit in Bladestorms or if you are in one, pop feint.

vs Death Knight, pop them to 30% - 40% HP range then Disarm and Cloak. Easy kill to score. Feel free to Evasion before they hit that health range so they don't benefit from Bloodforged Armor.

vs Hunter, Lock them down or just go all out on your burst. They have a lot of defensives you have to burn and it's a very long fight. Disarm is big for MM while it's more beneficial to do more damage against BM. Survival is Disarm.

vs Demon Hunter, sap them before they can see stealth and just trade CDs efficiently, prepare to run if things get dicey because once you lose your pressure on these guys, it's a losing or on the edge fight.

Vs Shamans, drain their mana while you keep your health up. If you can't do that, it's an automatic loss.

Every other class should be cut and dry.

Also if your running Supercharger, Sleight of Hand > Loaded Dice

Supercharger damage > Roll the Bones buff. It's that big of a difference.

Use your vanish offensively. It's defensive value tanked with the nerf to stealth protection

prio CC over damage sometimes

Plan out the next 2 or 3 sets of DRs

Consider who's in the best position to stop your go and CC them first

don't use smoke bomb carelessly, it can win you the game

don't burn your shadowsteps to connect to a target that already has full bleeds and is on stun DR

funneling mutilates and fan of knives into someone is worthless

I thought that was also a warbound buff but it isnt

So whatever low level alt that needs to be leveled up should complete that quest and turn it in for the buff

I run 4p, very nice is an overstatement. Its so nerfed in pvp that it could easily be argued you'd live better and do more damage with 2p or even no set

opener gives u a lot of momentum
sap to delay healer setup and then go into triple garrotes triple ruptures, should have more than enough time to land all 3, and setting up the game early is really important
use cheapshot, a lot. subterfuge duration and kidney being on a 30 sec means if ur just doing kidney goes or using kidney incredibly early ur wasting potential stun drs and setups

play to the lobby as well - if you notice a cr gap in healers, pressure them a little more, even if its not the correct thing to do in a textbook matchup. abuse people who have bad matchups too.

dont be afraid to go for restealths, especially into casters. dont waste 40 sec behind a pillar either, but dont be afraid to try. the swing of getting a new set of empowered garrotes can win games

as for gameplan rather than general tips:
use the opener momentum to try and force cds and trinkets. i personally dont like committing deathmark until i know theres a wincon or the enemy team is very disciplined - if a team is trading out cds really heavily without u pressing dm, be patient, wait out the cds and then use deathmark to punish a gap in defensives with smoke bomb and win the game - if a team is absolutely never pressing defensives until they see a deathmark, absolutely slam it early to force those defensives and then win in a clean setup without DM

often the combination of smoke bomb + vanish will be enough for you to steal rounds, even rounds you shouldnt typically win

time your cc well!! - this is the biggest piece of advice i can give to lower rated rogues
sending kidney on an ele sham to kill is one thing
sending kidney on an ele sham to kill just as the pop ascendance is another
you both peel for your team, and create pressure, just by timing the kidney a bit better
ontop of that a lot of players will trinket because they cant afford to lose the offensive pressure, and you create a clear win condition after

defensively assa is a bit squishy, especially into triple caster lobbies that will just root you, snare you, and make creating pressure much more difficult without perfect mobility use
generally there are 2 approaches to defensive play - the first is proactive use - trading defensives in generally OK value situations to maintain your own offensive pressure. this is usually the way to go because of the sheer amount of mistakes that occur in a shuffle lobby
the second is much more defensive use - i.e "if my healer is not in cc i will not press anything :)" - hard to do without comms, requires trust in ur healer, but can also be the difference in much longer games, and is more effective into some comps.
ultimately learning where on these two scales to play defensively comes with time, with more awareness you can be greedier and greedier and its almost a requirement to win at higher cr.
awareness lets you play in the middle of these two and is something you should be tracking - if ur healer pops wings, probably should never ever have to trade anything outside of feint.
