The proc seems powerful (though it may be nerfed in pvp), and more interestingly, did you guys notice the damage range on it? For example, in vanilla, backstab was a flat damage value multiplied by a random number value between your minimum weapon damage range and your max weapon damage range

The difference in embellishments between lining, ascendence, and weapon grip is likely so small that it's negligible and you can just play whichever one you happen to like better. I'm playing weapon grip because I like a proc that makes my bleeds randomly start ticking noticeably harder from time to time. But I doubt it really matters
