That said, in my personal opionion, the spec feels really bad if you cant get that restealth, because you missing out on the energy reg from the cleave

yeah, but if you are permeantly on a target your dmg uptime is bigger then losing on the dmg uptime in stealth. But all that "math/simulation" is for pve. I think losing the stealth is even worse in pvp.

Definitely harder. Getting the rotation right is key and its much more situational. As assa you just spread your bleeds and doesnt matter what happens so much, as sub you have to execute better crowd control to guarantee that you are allowed to actually not only hit the target during your burst without getting constantly ccd but also make sure it doesnt get healed and you dont get a kill. But it feels more fun and satisfying than assa in my opinion.
