Yo, I’m new to rogue and want to try to consolidate key binds a bit. Right now I have individual key binds for every CC ability, but I want to reuse some comfy binds if possible. Are there any CC skills that are only ever used when out of stealth (gouge, blind, kidney maybe?) so that I can put sap and cheap shot on my stealth bar in those spots or are yall using those abilities in stealth too?

Please elaborate further man. Certain abilities can only be used in stealth or conditions that grant stealth effects. We use all of our tools and rogue is and will always need a keen eye for opportunities.

People use step + kick type macros and such but definitely wouldn’t do something like cs and kidney on a conditional. Both are useful in any situation and depends on what else can be chained to remove someone from combat. Ex: timing a smoke bomb where a healer fell out of combat allows for a sap or a short stop with gouge if they happened to not fall out and no dots are on them (precision + timing + patience are our allies)

If you want to consolidate just use mouse over on blind, sap, gouge, kidney, cheap shot and call it a day. When you start using focus and arena target macros that’s when your bars bloat

mine is setup this way, where the only difference between stealth and non stealth bar is that stealth turns to cheap shot, and cheap shot has the #showtooltip of dismantle

Thanks everyone. I think I need to revisit how I set up all my keybinds because a lot of my buttons are just not comfortable enough for alt/shift modifiers and I need those for focus/arena targets.

I have used the same button for similar spells on every different class for years though and I don’t want to have to change muscle memory, but rogue has so many different cc’s that what I’m doing now isn’t going to work.

Definitely was a lot harder than watching a warrior / Paladin bladestorm in a straight line and smoke the crap out of people or some mesmer shoot gypsy magic at people and act like it was skilled.

Snowball pvp during winter and the jump puzzles were very fun. Halloween event was also really cool and I did like smacking people with candy corn or whatever it was lol.

I have a weak aura that puts a giant pulsing blue skull icon on my screen while I'm in stealth.

My eyes suck and I've fallen for that too many times haha
