Well outlaw's single target sucks and even in AoE its not the best class, plus it has a very bloated rotation and literally no impactful button at all and its not fun for me already. You just keep mashing buttons until someone eventually dies and these buttons arent fun to press anymore. Even crackshot got nerfed that's unbelievable. Everytime they nerfed outlaw in dragonflight instead of nerfing the numbers they nerfed the proc chances and CP generation. It's only worth playing in PVE until they do something i think.

I know i could get 200k with bf, don't remember my solo target dps tho. its just that its not fun and you do no pressure, you press 20 buttons in 10 seconds where every button is 0.5 of a button for a normal class. You can't force anyone to press a defensive. There is no "big" button you would like to press, nothing fun like bladestorm, or deathmark, or even our own killing spree from classic, that KS really was meaningful to press.

Here's a good question, outside of dampening is it basically impossible to kill someone without smoke bomb? I am pretty bad at "trapping" someone inside my bomb, I generally only get an early kill with it if someone is at like 25% and I bomb then finish them off
I can't tell you how many times I'll full cc the healer with a gouge, kidney, Blind combo but my partner won't actually kill the low health person

It happens it much tougher and more skill-demanding genres like fighting games too
The issue is developing toolkit fluency
So, say someone is pro enough to pick up a fighting game and picks a mechanically tough character
They will spend most of their time learning combos (tunnelvisioning landing them in the process) and inputs (focusing too hard on what move they want to do next, so not being flexible in the process)
The same with WoW, just to a much, much lower skill requirement
You gotta get fluent with your keybinds first, then with your responses to specific moves
If you know at the gates that you are using CD X when your opponent team does CD Y means it takes less mental bandwidth, giving you more time to "zoom out" and think strategically
At peak levels of skill, you're not just reacting faster, you're more relaxed and thinking ahead - sometimes you even get a thought like "I win/lose" ages before it happens
Just because you know what your team has left wont click properly with the opponent's CDs
So, to focus on this aspect of the game, you need to perfect mechanics to where they are fluent and easy, and know your responses much earlier - it shouldn't take 3 seconds to decide to trinket something
This is long, so I will break this down to a TLDR:

Regarding mental bandwidth: true. Anytime I change anything about my loadout (pvp talents, regular talents, etc.) my performance worsens
So while theoretically, going Serrated Bone Spike over Indiscriminate Carnage against a certain team might be better, swapping to it makes me perform worse because I play under the assumption I am using IC, since I normally have it, so I don't have the aoe Silence and I don't have the aoe damage pressure I'm used to. As Panda said, you can buy PvP green gear off the AH, but it depends on your server because they can get expensive for no reason. a daily: Epic bg / normal bg / a skirmish will get you far, since they have big rewards for the first win of the day. Other than that BG spam might be optimal
Be sure to start off by getting trinkets, the bonus set you gain from them is huge

- the more gear you have, the faster you do your dailies and grind your backpiece, the faster you get invited to heroic raiding. There's like 2 months left on the event and if you can grind your daily activities on your rogue and upgrade your gear, you are, in fact, making it easier for your future self.
In the meantime, you can just create an alt (which will receive 40k coins by the time you hit 70) and do the daily quests and that's it, purely for bronze and use that character to buy cosmetics/mounts
