I don’t play on a Mac, only work on one, but if you were bothered enough you could go to the actual OS system settings and remap shift to something else so that you could bind it (like I.e., making shift the “f” key so that to WoW you’re using f + mouse button 8 but your hands are actually hitting the shift key + mouse button 8)

I can't tell you what the best opener is, but I usually try to open with a stun, either something like CS or CS offtarget into CS/KS on main, sometimes SS into KS but that's whatever

After the stun I activate dance/SoD, then do basically every other generator and spender trying to keep them stunlocked

sometimes sacrificing the followup stuns for more damage 🤷‍♂️

So I will maintain that a lot of rogues, high rated streamers included, will generally not use rupture during their “burst opening”, no need for simplifications/set openers I’m just searching for the “why” they wouldn’t

to put it simply: rupture is sustained damage, subtlety dmg in pvp is all about burst damage - those don't fit together so you'd rather use the CP on instant eviscerate damage rather than drag it out.
CPs on rupture don't increase the damage over time it does but rather prolong the duration. stuff like SnD and rupture are maintenance buffs/debuffs that don't fit that well into the kill windows

You don't need to get super hung up on a perfect rotation in PvP

Disabling/disarming opponents when they use offensive cooldowns, peeling for your teammates when they're low, having awareness of the entire battlefield will all win you far more games than tunnel visioning on a perfectly ideal DPS rotation will

Subtlety can definitely cheese games up to a certain rating level simply due to how much damage it does in a burst window protected by Smoke Bomb or Duel, but once you're against competent people, you are going to get disarmed / CC'ed when you use your Dance / Blades macro, and if you aren't mitigating the offensive cooldowns of your opponents in the same way, you are going to lose

In TWW, I wonder if the rbg quest will get updated to work with blitz. To this day, neither Arena nor Skirms quests are completed with SS even though arena matches will complete the Skirms quest

• target isn’t stunned or close to coming out of a stun —> restun.

Can someone effectively stop you? Incapacitate that joker first. Maintain a high sense of awareness but HAVE FUN and make sure you are having fun. Practice a few ideas on a dummy but a lot can fluctuate with defensives, their team stopping you, their team off healing them etc.
