But if you have 3+ buffs already, you’re going to let them almost expire before you roll again

Depending on the buffs you have, you could also reroll before loaded dice falls off if it is going to fall off before you would normally reroll but that situation isn’t super common

And Fan generates more combo points in Arena than Mutilate does since there are lots of targets. And Fan is easier to hit people with, since talented, it has a ~13 yard AOE, while mutilate is, at best, 8 yards

I will say this though, Eridian, regarding "play how you want"

The game is in many cases tuned so that sometimes, you can't "play the way you want" and be even slightly successful. Before the HP changes, I was able to get 1750 using completely random gladiator gear. But after the 15% hp buffs, I went from being able to crush people to having absolutely no killing power. And the ONLY viable assassination build currently involves very low versatility and very high mastery

So my entire gearset became completely useless overnight. Despite this, I kept slamming games without changing my gear

In this game, unfortunately, in many cases, you HAVE to be a meta slave

What blizzard needs to do, and should do, is make all stats viable for all classes.

It is nuts that critical strike is practically undesirable as a stat to stack for the class with baked-in Seal Fate, which benefits from crits

Furthermore, it's crazy that haste is such a "wasted stat" for assassination due to the way multi-dotting and energy regeneration works for the spec

Stats not being well-balanced just limit the creativity and variety that people are able to succeed with

And I really think that's extremely poor design

I do understand that part of this is because they're trying to balance the numbers around PVE, but that to me seems like a mistake.

Imagine if Haste for assassination rogues actually had a big impact on your energy regeneration. It would potentially allow people to use Mutilate in a viable way rather than everyone being forced to spam Fan of Knives

Example: imagine if Venomous Wounds was a choice node, and the 2nd option was something like, "Using Mutilate gives you Assassin's Vigor, which increases the energy regen component of your haste-rating by 200% for 15 seconds" or something

Evoker abilities, feint when talented into elusiveness affects all damage. Any time you’re about to take damage just hit feint. Anticipate that instead of trying to feint at 50% with a DH trying to dunk you like space jam.

i was using teir and bgs and can confirm it is shit there too, under 1% of damage, 2 set alittle harder to determine, but do more damage without it
