The current problem with the rogue class talent tree is Echoing Reprimand. All the other covenant rogue abilities are available a tier earlier in both trees. Earlier accessibility generally translates to lower powered abilities. Despite this, the other covenant abilities feel about as strong as ER with a single point invested. ER also allows a second point investment. This is generally advisable since taking the ability without Resounding Clarity makes it much, much worse. Yet, adding Resounding Clarity to it doesn't make it "feel" like a proper capstone talent, it just feels like a compulsory point allocation.
ER with RC is also somewhat random in terms of a burst profile, and while it used to be fun to press since it used to animacharge CP as early as 2, allowing for stronger burst deployment, it now animacharges 3 CP at the very lowest.
Also, the other node option for Resounding Clarity is just a worthless ability. It doesn't in any way change the way the ability works, it's just, "ok, if you don't want to deal with extra animacharged combo point usage, you can take this talent instead, but it is far, far worse and your talent point is probably best spent elsewhere."

Us subtlety rogues used to have a 50% aura on eviscerate to keep it strong. As find weakness has been reduced over the years other things like macabre have taken its place to help keep those eviscerates true.

How is it any easier than last season?

i can get pieces at champion and up to 476
then can get hero pieces and upgrade to that level without using crests
saves crests then upgrades the hero level + stuff for pve
plus getting tons of crests from pvp too

and the flightstones are discounted too
