does anyone else kinda hate the way rogue design is going though? Losing cc duration and gaining cdr on all skills just feels like we're being shifted further and further away from a real setup class

The reduced cc duration wasn't huge. It worked out to be overall a small %. So we are almost the same as season 1 .
I definitely prefer doing alot of damage, and pressure, and not be useless unless it's 3v1.
And reduce cc duration is great for the game overall. There are literally matches where the healer can go take a piss, because he will be in cc for 20+ seconds. That is ridiculous. We all want to control our characters.

Yeah i like the reduction. I’m from vanilla where there weren’t a ridiculous amount of stuns, loss of control, shields, bubbles, absorbs. The way pvp is now is kinda crazy with the amount of Cc everyone has, Cc counters, absorbs.

I personally like a bit more scramble. No one was interested in watching RMP cc someone and would 100% lose with no counterplay because the sub rogue stunned the whole team and the mage and priest cced into 3v1. That was not healthy at all. I promise. It's one of the reasons why pvp is dying in wow.

I understand the game just fine. Pvp is moving in the correct direction. The RMP setup meta was aids for everyone except the people playing the meta.

Consider the game health as a whole.

there's also more setup comps than just RMP it's just that outside of like evo fdk, if that's even still good, nearly everything viable is just zugzug rn

also go to any tournament and you'll see RMP both winning and losing, because it's not some exodia of the game, and season ladders are also going to paint a different picture

there are also comps that are favoured into RMP, the same way that RMP is favoured into some other comps, there's always a degree of rock paper scissors to comp matchups that will skew how difficult the game is for either team

i just feel like blind -> sap sync'd with trinket cd was good design and forced rogue to lean heavily into setup instead of just throwing out cc while making goes constantly, you can still blind->sap off of cheap but it being desync'd from trinket + having goes all the time just makes it feel like any other cleave with cc. I mean it's getting similar to stuff like ret warr [comps] honestly
