If you're only looking for solo shuffle then yeah he doesn't often play rogue, but if you're not super high elo I'm sure you can learn from any of the game modes

You can have the macro that uses absolutely everything, as long as you also have binds for each of those things individually. I asked this same question a while back and was told it's just better to have the option to not use everything together every time. Maybe you want just enough damage to force some defensives or get a trinket, but still want to save some juice for a real go when trinket is on CD and they have less defensive options.
If you only use a swifty macro and they trade just one CD for all of your offensive ones, they easily win the trade and you have nothing left

Yeah, you're essentially just trying to make positive trades, like in chess.
I think macroing symbols into dance is fine since symbols is a relatively short cd and popping a dance on its own isn't going to be very scary for them, so they pair up nicely.
But with the new tier set you'll get a free symbols every time you dance so for sure have symbols on its own keybind to use it outside of dance.

I don’t necessarily mind a SecTec nerf, I was doing fine with a CDR build that already does 20% less SecTec damage overall, but I’m actually a bit pissed about how it nerfs all Dance damage, I’ve won more games with sleeper 100k evis crits than outright SecTec damage

Sub still viable, there will be less random globallings due to slow reactions, you just need to play better and enable your team to kill within setups rather than doing it yourself I guess

I just read on the forum:
Blind duration decreased to 5 seconds in PvP combat (was 8 seconds).
This change is intentional to playtest Rogue’s not being able to Blind into Sap.
Sap duration decreased to 6 seconds in PvP combat (was 8 seconds).
Kidney Shot duration decreased by 1 second per combo point in PvP combat:
1 point – 1 second
2 points – 2 seconds
3 points – 3 seconds
4 points – 4 seconds
5 points – 5 seconds

I had been playing Assassination when I finally picked up rated PVP with the creation of Solo Shuffle. After the latest Assassination nerfs dropping it from S class to A class, I really felt those and tried to play Subtlety and MAN it was an eye opener! You really need to pay attention to durations for Diminishing Returns, Stuns, Incapacitates, Disorients, etc., and attempt to end someone during the settup or you fail and have to do another settup vs. Assassination keeping up the pressure from the dots and constant attacking (at least from my experience). It appears power might be taken from the Subtlety Rogues with these shorter CC durations from patch 10.1.
I am seeing from some sources like Skill-Capped that now Arms Warrior is the only S class melee spec since they nerfed Rogues into the ground and finally dethroned Assassination Rogue.
Well, I do know that while making posts in Blizzard forums about this can only go so far, I just need to get better. Period.
