Free, completely free anyway, worked when there wasn't a thief running around messing with everything.

It worked when there was still a limited number of people that could present their specialty and expertise as a reason for you to invest in their product.

That's not to say that the theft leads to quality work or any kind of support, so I think that this is temporary, but it's going to lead to a tremendous amount of pain.
