Title...
I´ve read that the game changed and got less grindy with achievements and unlocks.
But tbh... there is no real replay-ability without it.

Unlocks are too fast done in general.

Characters are super fast unlocked.

The 1-4 Tiers on skills are pointless since stardust is a non-issue and just thrown in there to get max tier asap on top tier skills.

And well... the game is too easy to get some fun out of looping or longer plays than necessary. Nothing changes at any time, only hunters or Primus might be able to kill you if you don´t run sick barriers or the hunter-gem.
The hunters themselves aren´t even an issue, just the perma-aoe´s....
It´s a bit sad to see that the game starts so well but becomes stale and repetitive pretty fast (in comparison to similar games like RoR or Gunfire Reborn).
I also doubt that JUST a higher difficulty will change that since the maps are super small and no real suprise awaits somewhere.
All the super cool and exciting goals / unlocks are already a thing within 10h of gameplay. The rest is just "more of the same" to get the 100% done, while the build-possibilities sadly lack some balance to get some fun out of it.
