Pop a Clemency Gem and the Gem that increases healing by ability and gives shield for over healing. If you run the skill that makes your ult a CD instead of a charge, and the one that increases the ult duration by .2 seconds for each Auto, you can basically ult forever and constantly heal/get a barrier.
Translation: Find three specific essences to make this character decent
he needs to not be the "Frail" high damage character in a game where every other character can already do the same amount of damage after the first stage of the run
I think that was his vision but its not an enjoyable experience
he just folds at the lightest gust of wind lol
I absolutely love shell, I have his max constellation and its still just impropable to have a good run with him because he dies to getting one shot or just not having barrier in time
That's a subjective take, it might not be enjoyable for you, for others it might be.
yes thanks for correcting me on that but that would be the opinion of me and 8 other people I've talked to
thats not a lot of people but that might mean its a consistent theme
I mean, you are probably right, but for me, the variety of easy and hard characters to play with is important. The idea of this post is to give him a buff, which is reasonable because I would agree it's much easier to die with Shell than with other characters.
On the other hand, I believe the people who enjoy Shell are rather those who like challenging themselves and like playing on a higher difficulty
But I would also argue that if they want to make all characters equally strong and let people decide if they want to make their life harder by not playing with certain Constellations, then yeah, Shell might need some kind of survivability
But I'm personally okay with how it is right now :)
I think we need a new characteristic: lifesteal
I mean, you can Deja Vu a Clemency Gem and it makes the healing good. The other gem is super common 🤷🏻
Shell has a lot of ways to reduce his dodge cd and that is the design they point towards. You live by avoiding damage. It's brutal but he is "very hard" in design for a reason.
Shell doesn't have alternative abilities and passive yet. His alternative passive could give him a shield/lifesteal while his current one can be kept as is
deja vu clemency on shell lol.

ap shell >
clemency+guidance just make the game easy on any character
so does predation hunter farming and everyone still flexes it
predation hunting seems fine to me because high level hunters can one shot you pretty easily, even if you have thickass shields and stuff
predation is not fine
i really love the feeling of a shell that can be one shot easily. its thrilling to win with a glass canon that needs dash to attack but if you commit you can be one shot. to me he doesn't need a buff on survivability but i like the idea for the lifesteal it can be a fun alternative gameplay as a another passive. in my experience when i die i feel more like its a skill issue, i know if i play differently i wouldn't have died. difficulty is part of the character i definetly wouldn't like it has much if it was easier to play
Not if you build correctly. You cannot die to high level hunters
idk man my guidance+clemency aurena with infinite shield dies to high level hunters because one stun and one meteor means death
if you build correctly
