You ever wonder how the devs must feel? Seeing a whole bunch of children calling them lazy, money-hungry, and "corporate" despite them being independent developers?
Watching as the update they dumped a lot of thought, love, and care into is flamed because "nobody asked for it?"
Having their server effectively spammed due to a 2 hour delay? It probably sucks.
I wouldn't be surprised if a part of the reason Coda and Josh left the dev team is because of how awful the community is.
These people work hard, and have a team of only 11-50 employees. You guys expect more than their best constantly, with no patience, understanding, or sympathy. You want them to churn out large, perfect updates every week, and when it's not to your exact specifications, you flame the devs.
They're human, they have limits. You treat them like an old machine. They cant cater to every suggestion, every request, every need of every individual.
I think we should recognize all the work these people do for us, and appreciate it, even for just a moment.
I know there are things that Wooster Games can do to aid the development of their community, things they do that seem off, etc.
But if they did a 180, changed their marketing, changed the drip department members, incentivized the old lethal-company style extraction gameplay, their only game would die. Rapidly. We're not being realistic at all.
They love you guys. They wouldnt be doing this if they didnt. I bet seeing their community call them lazy and greedy. probably feels like a knife to the heart.
Can't we show them some love too?
