No I’m not too lazy to grind, I physically can’t due to the RP cap

(This is probably a worse solution than making RP grindable but that hasn’t gotten a response yet so I’m assuming that will never get added)

i think yeeps hide and seek giving you buttons every big update makes sense because they are harder to get, and the big updates usually give over 20 new things you need to unlock. in AC updaets, we get 1-2 new items [reskins] per weekly, and usually ~5 per big update [this update was weird in the fact that we got a ton of goop decor items, but most updates have around 5 unique items], each usually averaging around 2-4 RP, and 5 for the big items or backpack reskins. being able to knock out half of the unique items in a given update would give you less to do, plus its not that hard to get research points if you put your mind to it, heck, i got my RP limit maxed out by just.. playing the update and getting through all the zones

going through the digging maps or defeating the boss gives you one RP

I have many items that I haven’t unlocked yet, and I keep hitting RP caps, which stops me from earning any more research points for the next 5–10 hours (not to mention you only get 1 every 5-10 hours). This becomes even more of an issue considering they added an entirely new tech tree with abilities, increasing the demand even further.

Many players I know feel we aren’t able to get enough, and the cap feels very restrictive—especially in the first few days of an update when you need research points the most.

They have research points so they can earn money

If they gave an overly rewarding amount of them each update they wouldn't have value

And therefore wouldn't make money

If we were given 1000 company coins every update they would have no value either

The best way to think about it is this way. They have a choice of either making the game cost money or items in the game cost money

The money is made from purchasing company coins / bundles, not mainly research points. Most people only use company coins to buy rp if they need to unlock items and many people buy bundles because they want the cosmetics, weapons and animal not the research points

Me and my friends would make roadmaps for when we bought bundles and one of the main consistencies was buying research points with the company coins that came with them

I would rather spend 10-15$ buying a game that has free or mostly free items then spend 15-20$ or wait almost a month to unlock everything in the updates of a free game

Assuming everything useful in the game rounds out to 250 research points and you don't purchase rp using cc, you'll need to wait 4500 hours to get all the research points. Which is 187 days.

Absolutely absurd

That's half of a god damn year you have to wait to get everything useful

And this is only assuming you get EVERY SINGLE RESEARCH POINT before they don't count anymore because it goes past the stack limit of 4

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that if you don't log on daily and you only enter temporarily to grind, it would take you well over 400 days

Many new items can be helpful and sometimes you need them when the update comes out (and also they are needed for the sake of completing the tech tree)

I don’t have a lot of RP and don’t play often (as I have a life) so I miss the time where I can get 1RP and my cap fills up to 4 wasting time

Also apparently it takes 400 days to get 1/4 of the items ingame by grinding legit

the issue i've previously adressed when the goop update came out lmao is how money hungry that update was

that was approx 30 rp in 1 update, and you need to pay an extra 5 rp fee to be able to use your items ex. the rotator thing is useless on its own (it costs like 3 - 5 rp i forgot) and you have to buy 2 separate ones AND then you have to spend 5 rp to use it

it IMPOSSIBLE to unlock items with a good pace in this stupid rp gaining system we have and the ammount of items, it is LITERALLY impossible to unlock all items right now if you start with 0 or even a giant boost on this pace of updates

now argue about it being hard to get i could NOT care less as it is BORING and just paying is NOT hard at all is it

giving 5 rp would be nice UNLESS they revamp rp gaining or add achievment system which awards you with rp or cc, but for now this is the ONLY way to fix this, and i would be happy if they gave 10 considering youd still need weeks to get the rest of the items
