its basicly impossible to get ANY rod without someone giving you a good one like the bamboo one SUCKS and you need 5k bones to get a rod thats SLIGHTY better

It’s progression dude. You can’t catch the bigger and tricky fish without selling the easy and more common fish to upgrade your poles. Time consuming doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

The box in the mini game is controlled by your actual hand and not the fishing rod. (It’s a lot easier once you figure that out)
