ANOTHER great thing that i've wanted back for a while, is the landmine route.
for those who didn't join during the time where it existed, the landmine route was a linear sand route with rocks around it, filled with landmines. if you got to the end, you would find a banana and a secret tunnel with the boombox inside of it, with some other lore related stuff.

this was genuinely so fun to play and i believe this is the ONLY og map supporter that i too, will support.

Ok here's an idea instead of the og map coming back why not make it so you can go back just trust. So the og map wasn't that good and even linen tiger said the only reason a lot of people want it was because of nostalgia and don't get me wrong all your points are correct but they can just add most of those things to the new lobby but instead why not make a quest to go back hear me out. The first loading screen for the new map said on the text error shard transfer needed so what would be cool if they made it like a demon sword quest where you can go on a quest throughout a ton of the maps to collect pieces of the shard when you collect all of them you can go to office and find a new room where it's like a combination room where you can weld the shards together to make a full shard crystal then you can take it to the brain where you unplug the brain and in the loading screen map you find a really big server thingy where when you climb to the top you can make it to the shard transfer place and then transfer the shard and for the next say 30 mins the og map is restored but it goes away because the shard you gave it isn't strong enough but the shards from across the map don't respawn for 1 and a half hours

the old map had a lot more character than the new map. it had vibrant coloring, which was unnatural and fit the lore of the game. the map's PvP was better than everything we have now due to the specific type of sectioning the map had: the path down to sewer, the area next to forest, the bit in front of the VR goggles, even the lake. the old map overall felt more like a terrarium built by corpo scum that were imprisoning people, and using the best way to keep prisoners inactive: make them think they were never imprisoned. the new one, as previously stated, "looks like a poorly run public park", not to insult game devs on their work.

One of the vivid problems in the current lobby is the forced lighting and textures. The lighting and coloring in the previous lobby felt more 'controlled' and highly perfected, while the new lighting feels very obviously exaggerated and unrealistic. In the original map,the exaggerated lighting was used sparingly as a tool to highlight important areas such as the buying stands, tech tree, entrances to maps etc, while the new one looks more like they tried to highlight random parts while continously forgetting about the areas that have actual meaning. Its very weird how they tried to optimize this lobby to be more fitting for PvP, when all they did was make it look like an empty wasteland that somehow still has vibrant green grass. Plus, they already have an entire gamemode for PvP (arena) and a whole map as well (creator studios/stage 5). Another thing to keep in mind is that the lobby we have now makes no structural sense whatsoever, the part at the mid point of the tree where you get placed when teleporting out of the foundation for example, is help up by 4 rotting wooden beams, and has no device that would make sense to teleport you, while the og lobby has 2 teleport tubes that have meaning and sense to teleport someone to a certain specific spot. Literally the only thing better about the new map is the microphone and the buying stands.

but some people give DOGWATER reasons to bring it back

The main reasons why I would want the OG map back is for a few main reasons which I will list.

1. Maps used to have buildup to them, forest used to have to walk through a minefield. Mines used to have to walk up to a fallen and partially collapse mineshaft.
   Sewers used to have to enter the brick wall facility. Walk past a bunch of wires and then unable to see the bottom, Jump down a giant hole lined with wires and pipes around all sides.

2. The map felt way more lifelike with constant changes and additions to it
   Like the fans for faster transport, or the update before when we were still building the ship, or mines being overun with lava and the ash or lava or whatever It is being abundant during the week it was there

3. The secrets that you could find such as the boom box and free grenade, as well as the buying machine in the vent or the hookshot room in sewers.

4. We had 2 selling machines. In case one was being camped.

5. This isn't so much as the map itself, but there used to be so many different events that would happen. Such as the time trials, only up and lava in mines

6. As one person said before, the colors looked a lot better than now. Right now the map looks sunbaked compared to the vibrent colors we had before.

But we are most likely not getting it back because in lore we overloaded the ram/simulation and the only part that didnt get corrupted was us and the little base part of the map that we could walk around in and a "shard"/ us or core data needed to be transfered

You cannot reverse evolution
While the original vision was lethal company, the developers have taken a different route that they are confident in and are proud of.

No amount of begging or pleading will make them reverse the updates.

It would logistically cause the game to rapidly die.

Even if it clung on due to returning old players, the developers would realize just how worthless that state of the game is in comparison to now, and abandon animal company entirely.

Yes, the playerbase is awful. Yes, some of the updates seem random. Nevertheless, the whole playstyle that some of you seem to cling to is still there, and nothing is stopping you from doing it.

If you prefer the horror aspects, go into scary maps and explore the nooks and crannies.
If you like building, run to get a spot in the goop building contests.

There is no one single way to play animal company. You all seem to have a narrow vision with this game, and are so blinded by nostolgia that you see only bad in how the game has grown.

I've been playing since like a week before goop saving update ended and the fishing update came but in that like week or two i played was a lot more fun then it is now (only downside is the slop that ppl make like the banana and big apples. if you know you know) and all of the videos I've seen of old map seem to just be happier the most of the ones now. most of them now are just copies of other videos or just little kids complaining about ppl killing them or stealing their items.
