Do you find it fun when players with every single item and Tech-Tree upgrade get away with killing you over and over again inside of public PvP lobbies? Well, me personally, I don’t!
I believe that if there were to be a match making system dedicated towards public PvP servers, then the newer and less experienced playerbase would have a more enjoyable time while playing Animal Company. (Of course, PvE is also always available!)
This change could also benefit the more competitive side of Animal Company’s playerbase! For example, some players may be very interested in the PvP style of this game, yet they can’t quite find any competitors with their set of armory or skill - well, Tech-Tree match making may be able to help with this situation!
(Arena mode, too, also is always avalible.)
Although, there are a few variables that may interfere. For one, skill level and in-game progression are 2 different categories.
In-game Progression, being the unlocking of Tech-Tree upgrades and items with Research Points, doesn’t necessarily require any form of skill. Players could, technically, buy research points with real life currency.
Skill Level, in our situation, being the amount of skill a player has with a certain in-game mechanic, actually required proficiency and practice.
Perhaps, Instead of only Tech-Tree completion, PvP match making could be based off of both In-game progression and player aggression/behavior! Player Aggression/Behavior, being how aggressive, passive, or neutral a player is, could be tracked through the amount of players you’ve vanquished, the amount of total nuts you’ve accumulated, or random stats simular to the previous.
I know, this may seem very difficult to implement into Animal Company, but it sure would be jolly good fun if this system mechanic where to be added!
