Don't hate me for this but let's be real there are too many items in ac, so they should get rid of the items that don't really have a purpose/reskins and then somehow for the people who have bought the removed items get research points back.

At the top right corner of the item box in the shop on a reskin item it will have a sparkly icon to say if it's a reskin
