Seriously. What game even is this because sure as hell isn't an "adventure game". There is hardly any difficulty in this game at all. You can run past all the monsters bare handed or tank them with baseball bats. Even worse, the absolutley ridiculous pricing. WHY THE HELL DO I HAVE TO PAY TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR A FLOATIE? A FLOATIE THAT CAN ONLY BE USED IN LIKE FEW LOCATIONS IN THE ENTIRE GAME AND BESIDES THAT ITS USELESS. You can even find it FOR FREE in the LAKE MAP. What the hell dude? Many items are also like this. Also literally ALL of the maps are useless now besides the halloween maps and mines. What is the point of the cave map if you can buy goop? What's the point of forest, mansion, or brain matter room when you can just farm lava crystals at the lava mineshaft in mines? This is absolutely ridiculous. If you're gonna make an adventure game, make it difficult. If you're gonna add items, give it FAIR pricing based on its usefulness. If you're gonna make more maps, give them an actual reason to go there.

The current item pricing is influenced by the state of the in-game economy on the map. Due to past duplication exploits, the economy was heavily inflated, which is why certain items may appear far more expensive than their practical value. On different maps, pricing and progression can feel very different. As for map relevance and difficulty, these are valid points and areas the devs are actively reviewing. Some older maps were designed around progression systems that have since changed, which has affected their usefulness compared to newer or seasonal content like the mines and Halloween maps. Balancing difficulty, item usefulness, and map incentives is an ongoing process, and feedback like yours helps highlight where changes are needed.

It feels nothing like an adventure game. I don’t know a SINGLE person who goes in the game to ‘adventure’. EVERYONE treats this game as VR chat, and that honestly makes sense as the game itself is a repetitive, boring concept, with almost no originality.

I don’t get why this game took off. It’s either the VR industry just normalises boring games as being good and quality, or people wanted a new game, and didn’t really care what that game was.

The whole point of this game is to get money, but why get money if you already have infinite from modders?

The only SLIGHTLY entertaining thing about this game is that you can socialise, but otherwise, it’s just a stale, repetitive money grinding game, that isn’t even really a money grinding game.

Wanna know what I do to keep the joy of the game? Here's my honest tips as someone who has played since the game came out.

  1. Play PRIVATELY

There honestly isn't any reason in the world why I would actively go out of my way to play with 8-12 year olds crying about modded and duped items. Just play with your friends and enjoy what the game was supposed to be

  2. Never check the updates/leaks

Might be hard for some but in my opinion, not checking the updates/leaks or just waiting a few months and coming back always helps me enjoy the game again.

  3. Don't look up videos about the game

It sounds dumb but honestly it's better to not look anything up, especially on youtube. 9 times out of ten, you will never find what you were looking for, and the videos you do actually find either have crazy spoilers for updates, or the videos are catered towards literal babies so it's impossible to watch them.

  4. Know when to stop playing

If you couldn't have guessed, this game can get pretty dry pretty quickly, especially if you're one for constantly playing it. As mentioned in #2, just wait a while before you play again, by the time you come back, everything will feel new and fun.

  1. Don't give kids the time of day

Unless you want to get scammed, have your ears destroyed by screaming, or get a migraine from constantly hearing kids talk, it's best to just stay away from them at all costs. I hate how affordable vr headsets have gotten, and it is genuinely wild how young these kids can be. It's also personally quite annoying having to play with a playerbase of mostly kids as someone who is 18, making it next to impossible to find someone with an active brain that is mush from playing vr 24/7.

  2. Don't Give into the P2W scam

This honestly hurts me the most, as I literally watched this game go from a free, simple game, to a complex cash grab. Sure, you can get 4 research points, but that ends up taking 3 WHOLE DAYS!?! 16 hours per point is absolutely insane, but you know what's more insane? The horrific prices in the cosmetic section. That is why I also don't give it the time of day! Unless there is a huge sale that you could say is a deal (when it really isn't), maybe then it's just slightly worth it, but other than that? No, I believe the shop is very, and I mean VERY predatory to little kids, it absolutely feeds off their parent's credit cards to make so much money, which genuinely pisses me off.

That's all of my two cents, hopefully you understand what I mean about each section.
