So basically the arena game mode is kinda repetitive. So why not add more maps. Like the hunted mansion map suggested by @tame ravine and a Desert. (Or something similar to that idk) And a snowy place. And for the map selection either make it random or make a in game voting system to choose the 4 maps. And 1 new weapon. [idk what gun so you suggest] and uhh maybe arena perks? If not, no then.

TBH combat in the game is already fine, so adding an arena mode to it is like adding a scavenger mode to Animal Rivals; a terrible brain-rotted idea that anyone would immediately smack down.
