The game is becoming even more slow paced and harmful to new players, it was already meh when they first added the tech tree but it was fine because of teamwork and donators.
But a whole new shard payment that relies on the person owning 110+ shards?!
I just think it’d be better to just let us mine and gain infinite rp but instead make it have a very lower chance of spawning after running out from the usual 1 every 16 hours. instead of waiting days to grab more.
Not only this will surely make your game played more often too since alot of people are going to be skipping on playing for half a week until its rp mining time and then leave.
I do have a proper way to handle this without it being extremely easy to earn 100 shards though!
Now, allow me to explain how this could go.
for years the game only ever had a single type of sell machine, so my idea is to make a type of event to introduce a rp machine, sort of like the time they added the thunder machine to introduce the new map. and with the new rp machine, you can finally grab the rp shard from mining the ore, and toss it in the new machine ( client sided )
And this gem/shard should get treated like the VHS tape items in the game, they vanish when you travel to a new server and is unbackpack/stashable.
Oh, and also impossible to pick up with heart guns and weighs as half of the suitcase.
Ontop of which, make it so the stash and backpacks detects if it notices a shard/VHS tape inside it and automatically deletes it.
my reason? VHS tapes are undupeable from these features, hate me all you want.
Please, if you disagree then tell me why perhaps, because this is gonna be required to enjoy the game if these updates requiring rp keeps coming
Ps, I personally don’t find it enjoyable to only play every 3 days to get shards just to play a different game afterwards that actually encourages me to grind to play longer. I saw a dev/mod say why theres a limit but it honestly doesn’t seem to make much sense, sorry
