There was a game I loved- Doodle Champion Island, which had various missions and challenges between levels.

Nearly all of these required getting a certain item for an NPC to unlock a small area, sub-challenge or praise. My favourite was a series of quests where every item would be locked behind another quest!

Say, one of the quests would be to gather driftwood- but the third peice is blocked by arguing friends. So, you should get them something to eat from the bakery- but no, the bakery is blocked by a construction crew, who need some water, ect ect.

An NPC in, say, Forest, could want to enter a secret glade, but needs a lockpick to open an electric gate there. So, you go to the crashed boats to loot them for a lockpick. But an NPC is in the way of the Keymaker's old cabin, who refuses to move without something in return, like a green crystal. So it's to the Mines, which is blocked by another NPC, ectie ect!

I really think Quests are fantastic idea, Koda! Good work!

Secret rooms hidden across the ENTIRE game, I just love secrets in games especially secret rooms with maybe an Item or Cosmetic. The only VR game that I have played with this is Gandys Nextbots where it's done pretty well, hidden vending machines, free Cosmetic for finding it. Simple.

You could a puzzle in the forest, where there is 4 statues around the map, each with a different symbol referencing a different item type; explosives, weapons, gadgets, and toys. If you insert the correct item type to each statue, you get a big reward. If you complete it at night, you would get even more money.
