Pretty sure he meant that the monsters specifically target other monsters, it wouldn't be op if it can keep enemies company or to gang up on them. If it were to target players, then yes it would be op

yeah but either way still not a good idea because it just removes the whole purpose of going into dangerous places and expecting to fight a threat like a spider or something

you can just bring an army of friendly spiders to do the work for you

even worse, those lava monsters in the under world

Less damage then or cool down where the monsters instead attack you

How would that work? You would just blow up anything in the area including yourself

no one would really spend money on grenades to fight monsters

I'm saying the underworld eye would be considered useless since once you throw it out and It picks a target in a location (say mines or tunnels in sewers) it would blow up everything straight after the target is locked. No one is fighting enemies with RPGs

Or (of course) it would just no-clip

tbh not a bad idea, the only way i can see this working is that the monster could break the ball
