Only map that is unlocked is sewers. Players must meet a quota to unlock the other maps and gear. Nuts can be used towards the quota but also purchase already unlocked items.

Achievements are an incentive for people who dont want to play the rogue mode. As somebody dosen't want to make a easy game harder without a reward.

Research points serve two functions.
Completing achievements in the mode will earn research points for normal animal company.

Meeting Quotas unlocks research points ONLY for the mode so players can value their gear because if a quota isn't met the game resets.
