what if in the tech tree there is 3 new branches, lightning, fire, and arcane (you always get the arcane branch) To choose which power you want, it costs 0 research points, but the player can only choose ONE branch out of Fire and Lightning to go off of, and can never obtain the other magic. There will also be arcane, you start with a max capacity of 100 and get a base rate of 25 per player kill.
Fire Branch:
(tier one:)
- fireball. the fireball does burn damage after the damage it already did to the enemy. Uses 5 arcane. (3 research points)
- Fire enchant. Temporarily enchants any metal equipment with fire, which does burn damage and makes the weapon stronger. (5 research points) [To use: make a fireball and hold it to your metal equipment you want to enhance with.]
- Molten Metal. When you have a metal blade enchanted with fire, swing the blade and molten metal will spray off of it, burning the enemy.
(Tier two:) - Fireball ricochet, If you miss when throwing your fireball, this skill will let the fireball bounce on surfaces TWICE before disappearing. (2 research points)
- Burning ignition, charge a fireball up and then punch, fire will blow out of your fist, just like a flamethrower. (6 research points) [after using the burning ignition twice, the fireball will lose its heat and you will have to make another fireball.]
- Spreading fire, if an enemy who is on fire touches another enemy, the fire will spread to one another. (3 research points)
(Tier three:) - Rocket punch, charge a fireball up and punch to go flying like a rocket, and if you hit an enemy, you do damage to them. (5 research points) 5 arcane per punch
- Burning Meteorite, charge two fireballs up with each hands, put your fireballs together, slowly pull them apart, until you get a flaming meteorite ball in the middle of your hands, and chuck it to make a massive explosion. (7 research points), 50 Arcane
(Awakening:) - Blue Fire, turns all of your fire moves into blue fire, which does 1.5x damage and cost 0.5x less arcane than usual. (10 research points)
Lightning Branch:
(tier one:)
- Lightning Ball, charge up a lighting ball that shocks the enemy and stuns them for 3 seconds. (3 research points) uses 5 arcane.
- Lightning Enchant, temporarily enchant any metal weapon with Lightning, which stuns the enemy if hit for 3 seconds. (5 research points) [To use, hold a Lightning ball up to a metal weapon.]
- Extended reach, the Lightning on the metal weapon has a bigger hit box. (2 research points)
(Tier two:) - Lightning ricochet, lighting bounces off surfaces two times before disappearing. (4 research points)
- Lightning Discharge, make a lightning ball and punch forward, and Lightning will shoot out. Lightning ball loses static after 2 uses so you have to make another lightning ball. (6 research points)
- upgraded static lightning, spreads lightning from one enemy to another if close by. (3 research points)
(Tier three:) - Lightning Punch, make a Lightning ball and close your fist, punch forward to shoot your forward with lightning around your body which can damage enemy’s. (5 research points) 5 arcane per punch.
- Lightning Storm, make two Lightning balls with both hands, put the lightning together until a giant lightning ball is made, and throw it up in the air to do -15 damage to every player.) 5 minute cooldown, 100 arcane. (7 research points)
(Awakening:) - Thunder Master, turns all of your lightning moves into red lightning, 1.5x damage and 0.5x less arcane use for every move. (10 research points)
Arcane Branch:
- Arcane upgrade, (100 -> 120 max capacity) 3 research points.
- Arcane Effectiveness, ( -0.2x amount of arcane needed) 2 research points.
- Arcane Hunter, (25 -> 50 arcane per player killed) 5 research points.
- Arcane Master, ( -0.3x amount of arcane need and 120 -> 150 max capacity, and 75 arcane per player kill) 10 research points
