basically it'd be like the starfish from content warning (a similiar game) except the only indicator it's there is a glowing light that is orange (or any color you want)
for those who don't know what the star fish from content warning is, is a monster that sits on the ceiling and can grab people who walk under it. basically the way i invision it working is if someone walks into the light they get dragged up with their stuff and about halfway into the darkness their stuff falls to the ground. they would get zipped up quickly and their body wouldn't come back down

btw it won't have a physical model unless they make one it'll just be like a tongue colored or something else from the darkness that grabs you, maybe it would wrap around your body then drag you

you would know someone is grabbed by hearing a snap noise after they've been grabbed

it also adds a monster specifically for the forests
