The pickaxe can mine open rocks that ogre throws and can do extra damage to Armstrong. Plus an additional feature I’ll explain later. The mined rocks can give items like rubys and gold in a large abundance. (No you can’t get shotguns from breaking open rocks)

- Mining gear
You can buy the sets of gear from the shop, the gear being
Hard hat: 450 nuts, 1 RP
Mining Pack: 750 nuts, 3 RP
The hard hat can be put on your head and you can put 2 items on the hat, flashlights and cam recorders (I’ll explain that later) and if you press your head it’ll toggle the items
The mining pack is a backpack item and can hold 7 items in the backpack but comes with 2 side holsters that you can put items in without needed to take off your backpack and risk someone taking your stuff
- Backpack loot
These are backpacks that can spawn naturally and have loot in them said backpacks are the default backpacks and can have different colors. They can have stuff like bananas and soda all the way up to revolvers, and there’s a rare chance there’s an active grenade in there so be careful
- Cam recorder
It’s an advanced version of the default camera

You can activate it and it’ll record a video, when using it it’ll give you a VHS overlay on your screen. Why you’d use this? Well if someone has a tablet, on your player there’ll be a camera icon and if you press the player you can see their footage on the tablet
- Climbing rope
The rope can be placed on a surface and is an easy way of climbing certain areas, the ropes length is about the distance between the top of anglers cave to the bottom

- Ores
In cave-like areas there will be glowing rocks that you can hit with a pickaxe and break it, the ores are as follows
Gold , takes 1 hit to break
Rubys, takes 2 hits to break
Emeralds, sells for 100, takes 3 hits to break
Diamonds sells for 150, takes 4 hits to break
Bananorite sells for 200, takes 5 hits to break
Each ore gives 3 to 5 of each item
- Gas mask + gas
In caves there can be random gas leaks, if this happens then you need to put on a gas mask, don’t worry though the gas mask would be an item you buy early in the tech tree.
Gas mask: 99 Nuts, 1 RP
There are different colored gas and it does different stuff
Yellowish-green gas: blurs your vision
Red gas: damages you (similar to the stuff in haunted mansions reactor area)
Blue gas: slows you down
Yellow gas: hallucinations (I’ll explain later)

Hallucinations
The hallucinations can do one of 3 things (no other players can see the visual stuff) -
Whispers, you’ll hear whispering that’ll last for around 15 seconds and makes it so you can’t hear any other players

Mimic hallucinations, mimics may randomly appear and jump towards you and before it reaches you you get flashbanged for a second and then it’s gone

It’ll just spawn the weird head things in haunted mansion

Claustrophobic cave
This is a part of caves that can be entered through a tight space inside the maze. The cave isn’t very narrow to begin with but gets tighter and tighter the further you go through. There’s also a “monster” being a stalagtite that can drop on players doing around 25 damage, before it drops it starts shaking for about a second before dropping and drops when you walk under it, you can throw items at them to drop them. The reward? Well once you get past the narrow cave you end in a teleporter room with a bunch ores surrounding it, if you take all the ore in that room then you can sell all of it for around 3-5k

The Mining Update

- 2: Purchasable Mining Gear

Hard hat goes on your head. You can place up to 2 items on the hat. Flashlights and camera recorders, if you tap on either side of the head itll toggle the items.
- 3: Naturally Occuring Backpacks
You can find backpacks in the wild which have loot in them. They are the medium backpacks and come in a variety of colors. They can have miscellaneous items, or even revolvers and shotguns! They can be trapped with an active grenade though.
- 4: Cam Recorder
An advanced version of the default camera.

The cam recorder can be activated to start recording a video. When using it, you will see a VHS overlay on your screen. If a other player has a tablet, they will see a camera icon with the players name below it, and if you press on their icon you can see their live footage on the tablet.
- 5: Climbing Rope
499 nuts, 3 RP
The rope can be placed on a surface to climb upwards. It has a length of about 30 meters.
- 6: Ores
In cave areas, there will be glowing rocks that can be hit with a pickaxe to break it. A list of ores is below.
- Gold, 1 hit
- Rubys, 2 hits
- Emeralds, $100, 3 hits
- Diamonds, $150, 4 hits
- Bananorite, $200, 5 hits
Each nodes gives 3-5 of each individual ore.
- 7: Gas mask + gas
In caves there can be gas leaks. You need a gas leak to survive the gas. The types of gas are below.
- Yellowish-green gas: blurs your vision
- Red gas: slowly damages you
- Blue gas: slows you down
- Yellow gas: gives you hallucinations
- 8: Hallucinations
The hallucinations do 3 different things.
- Whispers. You will hear whispers that last 15 seconds. While you hear whispers, other players are muted.
- Mimic hallucinations: You will hallucinate mimics that jump towards you. Just as it reaches you, you get flashbanged for one second, then it dissapears.
- The floating heads that spawn in the mansion.
- 9: Claustrophobic caves
- Claustrophobic caves are a new type of cave system.
They arent very narrow to begin with but get smaller and smaller the further you go. There are stalagtites on the ceiling that can drop on the player doing 25 dmg. You will feel vibrating in your controllers and hear shaking before it drops. You can drop them by throwing items at them or shooting them. Once you get past the narrow cave you find a teleporter and a bunch of ores in a room. The ores will be worth 3-5k.
