another good idea, instead of trading items, what if he picks a spot and rolls out a carpet, and sets up 4 pillows and puts items on them, these items can be random items, but they are heavy reduced prices, and you dont need the item researched, when an item is bought the box will make like a chirp noise or something, and the pillow stays blank, if he picks up a players item or a player sells an item by dropping it into his box(sell price is 75 percent of what boxed buddy would assign to that item), it will get added to the shop and assigned a price, for tools, the price is about 60 percent of the tools price, and for loot the loot is about 20 to 130 percent of its sell value, meaning if hes selling a loot item you could sell it to the machine for more than you paid

in this update the sell machine will be gone and it will become a player run economy. there will be a new stash attachment called 'the trade centre' in it you can send trade requests to people either in your lobby or the trading hup which 50 or more players can be in a trade hub lobby at once [this is for trading not the lobby you play in] in a trade you will only be able to hear the person that you are trading with. this menu would have your stash to the left, a box that you can put items in [now it shows what the item looks like to avoid scamming] under neath that a money box so you can trade nuts and to the right you can see the other player's trade. you can press a accept Butten and if the other player does the same it will go on a 5 second timer before the trade happens.in the new trade add on to the stash there will also be a quest board where players can put up contracts and if you do it for them you receive the reward they put out.
