How is on_guest_causing_trouble() being called?

I would need to see the rest of the code or have more information to help in that decision. I assume you would want to call it when the collision (or whatever detection) is triggered that you want to cause safety -1.

This might be a signal that you connect to this function and emit on the collisions overlapping (or just call it directly)
