Looks like update_prompt_text() will replace everything in the prompt, and you call it after adding something to prompt.text, so that might make it look like nothing is happening in some cases

You mean the problem that it doesn't change scenes?

did you say that you saw "Checking BIOS Settings... OK\n" so you know it runs up to that point, but then nothing happens?

when i type it just dose this also i cant type periods to do the ".exe" part of the comand and it is all in caps letters

also i dont like that it says debug in the title bar and when an error happns the window gose to the back round behind the game engin i dont like that as well how do chang both

I think both of those will change when you export your project (to an .exe) instead of running it through the Godot Editor. But the game will obviously crash instead of showing you the game engine when it hits an error.
