I am against petting pools especially if it involves whales or dolphins
Don't worry, Dolphins weren't on the list of animals that was supposed to be here.
Also, I don't think Dolphins are suitable for touch tanks in the first place anyways.
Instead it contained at least these:
1: Purple Sea Urchin
2: Green Sea Anemone
3: Horseshoe Crab
4: Common Starfish
5: Feather Worm
6: Hermit Crab
7: Cownose Stingray
8: Southern Stingray
9: Slate Pencil Sea Urchin
10: Epaulette Shark

In fact, I don't even find Dolphins to be suitable for touch pools at all. That said, I would still like them to be in game but they shouldn't be allowed to be placed in touch tanks.
You don't see Ocean Sunfish, huge sharks, or Sea Turtles in touch tanks either.

I was more thinking of durable invertebrates (sea urchins, horseshoe crab, starfish) and stingrays (mainly cownose and southern stingrays plus epaulette sharks) anyways.

My local aquariums touch tank are small sea life as well + stingrays

Yeah. No petting pools, dolphins are too sensitive to human touch.
I have seen turtles in a touch pool but you were only allowed to feed them using a piece of a carrot dangling from a stick. And given that the turtles were snapping like crazy, I don't think I'd wanna touch those turtles so they have a really good reason for making it feeding-only.
