#A way to change the base hp and level scaling

For me, it is quite hard to balance enemies and classes because they go off of 30, i'm sure others feel the same way. I would like a way to be able to change the base hp, rage and mana somewhere within the game. Also if this idea does get added there hopefully should be a way to change the level scaling as well.

is there a way to change base hp?

Yes.

#

Oh, wait.

#

There is kinda. You have the ability to balance the players and characters, so as long as the monsters follow the same scale as the player, then you have balance. You have a maximum of 30, of course.

higher then 30

HIGHER?

#

No.

#

Bear in mind, that is ONLY at first level.

#

But you can do it mathematically...

it makes it easier

and change level scaling

Well, you technically have it up to 300, because it's fractional (30.0 is just 300 divided by 10), but it's really hard at the moment to see those fractions.

It's currently really hard to see the fractions anyway.

#

Are you using a spreadsheet to calculate your balance?

no

That would really help in your case, then you just input "1500 hp" into it, and then divide that (and everything else) by... ehrm... 25 (if your maximum was 3000) and then the output is what you enter into the game... unless you're planning on doing less than one decimal place of damage, which I guess you might want to do if you're trying to make an Asian-style MMO.

Not everyone uses spreadsheets, but I swear by 'em because my scale is a bit off.

Your change is probably not hard (I say probably because I don't know the internals, just a general knowledge of gamedev), but it will probably be pretty low (or no) priority for Trevor, that's the reason I'm trying to help you find a workaround.
