i take control of any melee character ive made, and they do damage to monsters. no issues. i go on my ranger, or any of my spellcasters, and take control of them. and they dont do any damage and die while i hit them with 12 spells. if i watch them, and not take control of them... they do damage and kill the monster. they( all of my classes) all have access to the same 2 starter abilites, same stats, same mana/rage usage, same dmg. (instant 0 cost 1 damage basic default attack w/1 CD. and instant, 1 cost, 2 damage. 1 sec CD, starting abilities)

I tried to replicate the operation you described, controlling the player and NPC characters, but my ranged skills were able to cause damage normally. Perhaps you should take detailed screenshots of your skills in the post🦦 ☕

I have to ask whether you might have any mods installed?

no mods. if you just control the character and dont move, the first attack on a monster will cause dmg. the following spells will not. maybe its a hunter leesh kind of deal like in classic wow? tried with missle and sniper ranges. similar results.

why this matters, is it causes endless kite'ing to where my players are puling 2 - 5 other mobs in open world, and whole other packs in dungeons. and obviously die'n the vast majority of the time

which is causing unsubs and log outs.

I don't appear to be having this problem; whether I move or not, my controlled character's ranged skills are doing damage as expected.
