When i switch tabs, my game crashes. EX: I want to answer a discord message, so i switch to discord and then bam, game crashes. when i go back in it says: EEK! game crashed. Please, this is terribly annoying. if anyone could fix this, or even take it into their arms to fix it, or notice this all alone. Would be great.

I hope you submit the crash reports when you start the game afterwards?

I indeed do.

?
If they are there, we will be looking at them. I just wanted to make sure they are there for Trevor to look at.
Thanks!

I'm not seeing this happening for me, and I don't see any obvious crash reports that look like "this crashed during an alt-tab" (I don't even know what that would look like). Can you tell me, perhaps, the time at which you submitted one, to help me narrow it down? Our crash reports are inconveniently anonymous and so it's not immediately obvious which one would be yours.

If you loaded a save file one of the times this happened, if you can tell me the MMO name that might help me find the crash report. 🙂

Or even just the GPU model would help me narrow it down a lot! 😄

I'll submit another one and tell you a couple of things so you can narrow it down

First note is that that graphics chipset is significantly below our minimum specs; it's not been tested by us and isn't officially supported. I have no idea how well the game runs on it, even when things are working.

But with that said, from the crash reports I can see that these crashes are happening inside the video driver, and that's an issue we've seen relatively frequently with older Intel chipsets+drivers.

We've definitely had some folks in the past say that updating to the latest video drivers for Intel graphics chipsets has fixed this type of issue for them on graphics chipsets of this vintage.

It does look like you're not running Intel's most recent video drivers for the chipset, but Intel drivers are harder to diagnose from our logs and I could be wrong about that. But Intel's tool above should be able to diagnose and report for certain!

Other stuff: I was going to recommend you try "Fullscreen Desktop" video mode rather than "Fullscreen", since "Fullscreen Desktop" shouldn't involve a graphics mode switch during an alt-tab, but from your logs it looks like you're already using Fullscreen Desktop. (although the logs make it look like your driver is doing a graphics mode switch anyway? No idea why.) You might also try out "Window" mode and see if that makes the issue go away?

i can't seem to update my chipset

RE: window mode, it's in the Options window, on the 'Video' tab. You should be able to choose 'Windowed' from the dropdown menu that offers "Fullscreen" and "Fullscreen Desktop".

I think you can also hit alt+enter to toggle in and out of windowed mode.
