Correct me if im wrong but yes they still can. They used What Im Made Of in Shadow Gens and the lawsuit between C40 and Sega was just over the fact they used Live and Learn and didn't pay C40. Like last I heard C40 was still on good terms with them they just wanted to be payed

Alright but what about the second part? The lawsuit didn't end with them coming to the agreement Sega could never use a C40 song ever again? Just over being paid for using their song in the movie

It's safe to assume that SEGA can't use their songs anymore. Just look at Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, for example. It has a lot of songs from past games, but there's not a single Crush 40 song in the game.

It may not be that they cant but rather they wont? I can see SEGA being petty about it despite C40 saying there was no hard feelings. Also the stages in Crossworld are not any stages that have had C40 music associated with them so I think that makes sense
