I think varies what skill you get. I used Espio and had his Tornado attacking skill for that match but I've never purchased it. It's still in the shop. So I think that each character has a predetermined set of skills which are selected from.

They do definitely like using those characters. I can understand why some people might be put off by that skill but, in the same way, there will be people who genuinely enjoy using it. Personally, I don't care if it's used nor will I shame anyone for using it. It's in the game so it's currently a valid method, regardless of how broken it is. I just do my best to get to the finish line for each round, regardless of what place I come in.

Yeah, I was genuinely surprised when I got the tornado attack. I don't have it so that was my first time ever using it. I think all characters can get the universal skills and each one could potentially get one of their own skills as well. No idea though since I haven't done it that much.
