I don't get why you can't use a single skill like divekick across different game-modes if you use the quick slot skill mode.

It's already kinda pay to win faster like this, can we at-least use our skills normally?

If you go back to the basic skill slots then you're locked out of using mode specific skills.

#

Using quick slots is the only way to access those.

you dont need that skill other than in ring battle tho

Yeah but I want to be able to use it in ring battle. I can't use it if it's locked out.

The system's original intention should be to let players obtain multiple skills while increasing your demand for skill stars, making you play this game long-term. This game actually doesn't have any quick ways to obtain skill stars; everything requires time.

What if the player doesn't want to change their gameplay style? If the player's end-goal is getting multiple skills is just being able to use the skills like the ones they already have equipped, then it's just a massive slog. I might agree if this was just another freemium game, but Sonic Rumble is a genuinely fun game, and its fans would easily pay money for good, thoughtful fanservice content, like reference skins and buddies. They don't need to lean on the freemium angle, and from what I can see in the reviews it's actually hurting them because it takes away from being a good game.

"I would like to play and ignore the $46 dollar skins and three battle passes, but there is a daily ring limit and 2 pop up ads after every single game reminding me that there are 15 different ways to spend an absurd amount of money to play as Sonic in a hoodie"

#

They already have a lot of features that encourage long-term play. I could do without the ads in my face all the time, but I genuinely don't have an issue with the daily ring limit. I think it's a good idea honestly.

the game doesn't expect you to play a lot at once; it wants you to play a little bit every day.
