Apologies if this comes off as too critical, but the pre season 6 update is a total mess.

First, none of the most common suggestions have been implemented—like improving rsr earning, increasing friend list limit, adding more emote slots, balancing skills, etc.

Second, why raise the price of epic bundles/skins when there’s still no reliable way for players to gain more free RSR? Not even bothering to post any message about the price change before the update? (Yes, I’m that dumb person who waited for the new season to buy the Silver bundle)

And on top of that, why nerf the omni fragments from the stamp card to 50? I bought Espio legendary skin, spent the same amount of money as for jester sonic, but only got half the reward. Are you kidding me? You already cut off the Detective Agency event and doubled the cost of legendary skins from 300 to 600 omni frags.

If you really want money that badly, why not just release the game globally? Because from what I see now, you’re not improving the game experience—you’re making it worse. The delay was supposed to improve player experience, but now it just feels like the dev team is avoiding problems and stalling as much as they can.

I get that balancing monetization is not an easy task. But if the devs genuinely want this game to survive in the long run (which I honestly hope it does)—instead of draining players’ passion and wallets post-global-launch, only to shut down a few months or a year later—then at least start by adopting some non-profit-related suggestions that could actually make the game better.

It's clear that the dev team didn't even take our feedbacks here into consideration lmao

#

All the bugs in the game? Didn't get fixed
The desync issue? Gets worse overtime
All the feedbacks on Leagues? Complete silent
All of the calling to adjust Skills? Never heard
Releasing more OP Skills, more paywalled skins and push more predatory anti F2P practices? HELL YEAH

#

I feel bad for the Discord mods here, for all the stuff they do here only to get betrayed, all of their effort backfired by the dev team they supported

SEGA really don't want to leave any change for f2p players, lmao. 🤣
I usually buy season pass plus and buy/unlock 1 legendary skin I like every season.
Even I finished every stamp card and got 100 omni fragments, the total was not enough to reach 300 omni skin before season end, It switches to about 280000 ring every time.
So it is unnecessary to reduce the number though. (I don't have interest on these skins, although the rings are totally useless.)

If SEGA really want to reduce the reward, I would suggest not make it expired.
So even if the fragment is not many, at least people actually get reward, we can collect them slowly, for both pay or not pay.
Unless the rings has other way to do, the expired system is really unnecessary. It is just like drop the money into a trash can.

I dislike when the game becomes more P2W and less F2P now because:

  • There's no way to get more free RSRs after you finished Rumble Ranking, Stage Challenges, etc. (I cannot get Nine and Cyber Ninja Espio...)
  • They removed the Detective Agency mission event after Pre-Season 3 ended
  • They made prices for epic skin bundles 300+ RSRs instead of 299 RSRs, AND extreme riders skins' prices 299 RSRs instead of 269 RSRS
  • There's no way to get more free Omni fragments after Detective Agency mission event was removed
After I reach level 130, I will no longer play more because I hate how the game turned out... I'm just really very disappointed as an F2P player (but I will try to play just for rewards and skins that I don't want to miss)
#

And my friend has already deleted the game because he disliked how the game became more P2W, and he didn't get Nine, just like me

Really hate how they casually mentioned on twitter that the premium pass now only gives 300 RSR instead of 400, with NO explanation at all. They completely made no mention of the epic skins price increase and the nerf to omni fragments in the stamp card as well.

It's really disappointed that not only soft launch players' feedback is being ignored, but also how extremely unfair this kind of update has done to the future global players. They will have missed early events and their exclusive rewards, and lost out on early growth advantages (such as the old leaderboard’s recurring rsr rewards, now replaced by the one-time rumble rank achievement).

Even worse, due to months of unclear communication and artificial hype, many global players have lowered their expectations and feel satisfied just to be able to play. But the truth is that they were placed at a disadvantage from the very beginning, and the final version they’ll get is stingier with resources, more competitive, and overall a worse experience.💀

I wonder if there's something going on at the specific branch of SEGA that this game is being worked on at? Cause that recent Persona game is having issues too.

You mean Persona 5 X?

Yeah, that one.

I think they're just being arrogant since sega is a big company, and they seem to believe that no matter how poorly they handle their games, there will always be people willing to pay just because they love the franchise. And guess what? Both Persona and Sonic happen to have massive fanbases. Even just 20% of fans who bother with the game would still bring in revenue.

#

Unless they end up driving away that 20% too.

Another thing I haven't seen anyone talk about, but it seems like the guys are simply testing which way gives more money and takes resources away from f2p players.
Like, The game was already good and in my víew, in pre season 3 the game was already good enough to be released.
But the changes they made got worse in each update

For example, the ways to earn RSRs, in the first seasons you didn't need to play much to get like 40 of them, but the game gave you motivation to stay ahead on the leaderboard and earn more.
Now you need to literally play day long, for WEEKS just to get like 100 red rings each week, and with all those agressive players and addicted players, it gets almost Impossible.
When in the old updates all you had to do was playing 5 matches per day and you would get at least 90 red rings, it was Fun, it was healthy and It wouldn't force you to play.

#

(consider this a rant too since I've been trying to get the 200 red rings of the diamond rank for 3 weeks now, with no sucess)

And what no one talks about, is that they haven't even updated the crew events. Every 3 days you only gain skill stars, Rings, and enhancement tools, and even I'm already fed up with not having a character to level up or to put Red Rings and fragments in these crew events. Where series 2 would be 150 Red Rings and fragments, and in series 1 it would be 350 Red Rings and 350 fragments just to make it fairer and healthier to play. But no one talks about this, and I even wanted to, but unfortunately I forgot. Not to mention the game being so poorly optimized as before that the desync and fps drops seem more aggressive, just like the players who brag about getting high ranks. Unfortunately, this game will launch dead, and you'll only feel it when the game is in its final stages, or they won't even feel it.

Yeah! the desync! I've seen a lot of people abandon the game or play less because of it
Another problem is the poor optimization of the game, the devs themselves said that a cell phone with 4GB RAM can run it well... That's not what happened to some of my friends, one of them even had a phone that could have the game but It doesn't even show on the play store
If you're gonna release a game, AT LEAST test it on some different phones

In addition to the issues already mentioned, a lack of communication and transparency continues to be one of the biggest obstacles to community engagement. Impactful updates like price increases, reduced rewards, and changes to the shard system need to be announced in advance and clearly explained—otherwise, they only generate frustration and distrust.

Concrete suggestions for improvement:

• Restructured Progression System: The current RSR gain is disproportionate to the cost of almost everything in the game. How about adding daily and weekly missions with scalable rewards, RSR login events, and more ways to convert regular currency into RSR?

• Better event organization: The sudden removal of the Detective Agency without any replacement was disappointing. Create a monthly event calendar with predictable cycles so players can plan ahead.

• More ways to socialize and cooperate: The friend limit has long been exceeded. Introduce clans or player groups, rankings among friends, cooperative mode in events, and the ability to temporarily trade or borrow skins.

• Balance and real skill diversity: Many characters are outdated or have no practical use in ranked play. Invest in reworks for old characters, new viable builds, and open testing with feedback before the official release of skills.

New features and skin ideas:

• Regional or seasonal themed skins (focused on different cultures: Brazil, China, German, Japan, Russia, Spain, United Arab Emirates, USA, UK, Halloween, Christmas, Summer, Arcade,...) with visual and audio variations.

• Skin customization system: Allows you to change colors, entrance effects, or victory poses with specific fragments.

• Support Skins: Skins that offer temporary passive gameplay bonuses, such as extra XP, a chance for fragments, or more coins per race.

• Skins with a custom soundtrack during the race (optional).

• New playable characters: It's time to release iconic characters like Ray, Might, Chaos Zero, Zenna, Tikal, Wisper, Tangle, Marine, Maria, Wave, Vanilla, Infinite, or even alternate versions, such as "Maria: Christmas Song" or "Summer Amy, Summer Rouge."; Saint Seiya: Silver (Virgo Shaka), Sonic (Pegasus), Amy (Athena).

Ultimately, the feeling is that the game is losing the identity that made the community fall in love with it: accessibility, fun, and a sense of fair rewards. Pre-Season 6 was supposed to represent a breath of fresh air, but it ended up feeling like a forced update, focused more on aggressive monetization than on longevity and healthy engagement.

If the team truly wants to build something lasting, it's time to listen more carefully and act with more respect to its loyal player base. Otherwise, many of us—even the most passionate—won't last much longer.
