Smells like a bug, definitely. Would it be possible for you to share a save file in which you got this issue? This would help us A LOT to reproduce and solve it.

Your save files are time stamped (you can compare date/time in the list in-game with your .sav files in explorer). The .sav files should be located here:

C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\HotelArchitect\Saved\SaveGames
