never mind. multimeter says that the button is not pressing... i need to find out how to print the other filamatrix model without that sensor

I have that board, the RP2040 version. I had to put the pin on GPIO21 and the +5V pins. Then I prepended the pin_tool_start pin value with ^ to use a pull up resistor and a ! to invert the polarity, like this: pin_tool_start: ^!EBBCan:gpio21

Should be ground, not +5v
