#Box Turtle, yes I think so

So I want a filament feeder/swapper etc. And to be fair before I spotted the box turtle I was going to get an ERCF2, however a 4 channel unit will be more than adequate.

So I have a V0.2 and "think" the box turtle will my solution. It's the Fysetc one with its own dedicated Catalyst 2. 0 mobo.

With being new though, can someone give a pointer or two....

Can I buy the BOM and make it, or do I need to buy a kit?
I spotted another piece of kit between the BT and the printer, a turtleneck, which for sake of newbie confusion I was looking for the PC but then "think" I saw posts saying it's not needed, so do I need that pc or not.

I have a larger Marlin printer so can print what I need as obvs the V0.2 is probably too small to print the skits etc. Without faffing.

Just a couple of pointers please.....

You can absolutely source the BOM and build it to your preferences. As always, you get what you pay for—if you use low-quality components, you’ll end up with a low-quality device. That said, going all-out with premium components isn’t necessary either. It’s all about finding the right balance. If you decide to buy a kit --when it will be available--instead, that’s also a great option.

Regarding the TurtleNeck, it’s not strictly required. It’s essentially just a switch housed in an enclosure. While you can support the team by purchasing the TurtleNeck V2, it’s not mandatory to have a functioning Box Turtle setup. You could use an Annex Engineering Belay, a TurtleNeck V1, or even opt not to use one at all. However, I would strongly recommend using a TurtleNeck or a similar solution. It’s essentially two microswitches and a bit of PTFE tubing, but it makes it much easier to keep the extruder motor on the toolhead synchronized with the Box Turtle.

OK, so do I buy the complete tnV2 or do I buy the pcb and print the rest?

i don't think anyone offers the TN2 with printed parts

Have received an Orbiter 2, just waiting for the filament sensor attachment. Also looking to use this with possibly a dragon butner with filament cutter on a V0.2...
Laugh if I am barking up the wrong tree

I use a DB with a cutter and it works, though might need to print the link_level extra strong (I had to use PA6-CF to keep it from snapping)

So where can I get the tn2 from?

Thanks, the At. Com site doesn't come up for me and the main one you popped on is a bit vague on shipping to the UK. Is there a UK supplier?

Shipping is always a pain
