Start of my build log for my Mardi Gras Turtle. Have my BOM, just waiting on my frame. Purple frame from dllpdf, using Polymaker green ABS for the main color and gold for the accent. Printing starts today. Pictures soon.

First plate of parts done

#

OK print trays in blue, purple, red, and orange OR the inlays

north summit
#

Hmm good question

kindred bridge
#

I think the inlays would be more subtle and equate to the amount of that color they have on

north summit
#

I think you stick with your original color scheme and just use the colors as accents for each lane. Like maybe the feeders and inlays

Gonna mock it up in the cad to see how it looks

Did you just post pictures elsewhere of a red and black BT? What was the red filament that you used?

Well my BT is working. Just have to get my toolhead cutter setup. I'm using the SB toolhead and Dragon UHF. Here are my load/unload settings. I think these are right.

#

The melt zone in the dragon uhf is about 35.5 mm so leaving variable_retract_length at 26 shouldn't take the filament out of the melt zone.

#

I'm changing pushback_length to 20 since I don't want the cut to get close to the heatbreak and the heatsink is 26mm
