Please explain the issue you're experiencing in as much detail as possible. Preferably with error messages in a text format or paste link to logs. Nobody can assist you without information that helps to understand the issue. Help us help you. Messages such as "doesn't work" or "i need help" will most likely be ignored.

I have a Rust dedicated Server im putting it in to Pterodactly and im config it with default config for rust dedicated server wich provides by default. Then when everying is configured im pressing start in the panel. Console starting to work with docker and evrething. But idk why STEAM CMD loads and start to update the server downloading it again with SteamCmd and replacing my Rust server files. Also i think Oxide from Umod getting updated aswell. I just want to disable that automatic updates.

#

Im working with linux and i dont have any command to update the files automaticly

What rust egg are u running?

#

Default included with the panel?

azure imp
#

There is Rust, minecraft etc...

terse hollow
#

In the egg for Rust, can you go to variables

#

And create a new variable for me?

azure imp
#

Sure let me some minutes

terse hollow
#

So to nests > the rust egg > variables tab

azure imp
#

Sure i will do it right now let me like 4 minutes please

terse hollow
#

Name: Auto Update
Description: / (not neccecary)
Environment Variable: AUTO_UPDATE
Default Value: 0
Permissions: View & edit

The default of 0 will disable auto-updating, setting it to 1 will enable it.

This should disable it.

#

Then in your server itself, go to the variables, and make sure the newly created variable is there, and has the value of 0, if it's empty, make sure to enter 0.

azure imp

i have that but the permission i dont see that

#

what i need to put in permisions?

terse hollow
#

It says: permission in your screenshot

#

click on that field, it will show you a dropdown

azure imp
#

Yes im just blind

#

Users can edit and Users can View

terse hollow
#

Yea, means you can see that variable, and are able to modify it's value on the side of ur server

#

Instead of it being invisible to users.

azure imp
#

Okey sure

#

its just for me so its ok

#

i just want it for me not for evryone

#

then create variable?

terse hollow
#

Yep, then go to ur server, startup tab, and check if the variable is there, with the 0 value.

#

If it's empty, fill it in with 0.

#

Then restart/start ur server to see if it works.

azure imp
#

in docker image what i need to put?

terse hollow
#

Thats still the egg itself

azure imp
#

oh sure sorry

terse hollow
#

It'll look like this, roughly (mine is a different egg ofcourse)

#

then find the auto update variable, and make sure it is filled with 0

azure imp
#

My friend removed the files from the folder wait i will put it back

azure imp
#

i have that and it still there permanently

#

but i have all my files in the folder

terse hollow
#

You can toggle it to show as finished installing, and then start... or, next time u install the rust server, toggle this to skip the install part.

#

If you already have all the files, which u can then upload, and then start the server.

azure imp
#

im fixed

terse hollow
#

So it worked?

azure imp
#

im starting server

#

yes?

#

and nothing

weak plume
#

It says your level file is corrupted

azure imp
#

its full new cant be corrupted i just moved it there

weak plume
#

It can't be both new and also something you moved there at the same time, that makes little sense

azure imp
#

i have .rar file im extracted it and thats it

weak plume
#

So it's not new

azure imp
#

its working in other linux machine with same files

weak plume
#

Anyway, the error is clear

terse hollow
#

Make sure the files have the correct permissions.

#

As it might see it as corrupt, when it can't read them

azure imp
#

its say is /home/container

#

idk where is it because i dont have it

terse hollow
#

Lmao, that is the path inside your container (your server)

#

The actual files on ur system are in /var/lib/pterodactyl/volumes

But u can change file permissions inside the files tab of ur server too (if permissions are even the issue)

azure imp
#

Okey i will do it then. Thanks for you help, i have to go now but i will text you if i have more issues

azure imp
#

i did evrething, reinstalled the panel

#

ziped new server files

#

uploaded manually every file

#

still saying corrupted

azure imp
#

cannot be corruted bcs im launching this server files without the panel and its working well
